“If she makes it into the second round, Gabbard could become the catalyst for the kind of globalist vs. nationalist debate that broke out between Trump and Bush Republicans in 2016, a debate that contributed to Trump’s victory…” President Trump just fired neocon and warmonger John Bolton almost two months after Pat Buchanan opined on Tulsi Gabbard. Not going to comment at this time on Pat Buchanan's commentary but unless you're stupid or low information, you stop and listen to what Pat has to say and hope Trump gets the memo.
Tulsi is not a Republican. Republicans and Democrats ... the rank and file ... the ordinary ones, who pay the taxes, fight the wars ... are becoming something new, and she is a representative of that. In his own way, so is Trump. History is adjusting her fire. The first round was over the target, perhaps the next will be under. But soon we'll be firing for effect.
If I were to give Trump any advice on who to hire for cabinet level positions, I'd tell him to stop hiring politicians, stop hiring people with a clear conflict of interest, and stop being so damn frickin' stupid! Honestly, I've never seen his reality tv show, but wasn't that thing about figuring out who to hire for some company of his? Based on his ability to hire people as a president, I wouldn't trust him to hire a crackhead from a crackhouse if the job was to smoke rocks.
I've been saying exactly that many times. Trump isn't a neocon, he has critcized neocons many times, but he has allowed these people into power and if he doesn't roll back on this huge mistake he'll forever be remembered as Bush 2.0 regardless of how good he's doing on domestic issues. Hiring Tulsi would send a clear, hard message that he rejects ALL forms of globalism, not just the far left form of it. Do it!
