No, it really doesn't. Regular eminent domain still involves following the Constitution when it comes to spending. Trump and his cult don't want to follow that part.

Seriously? After Obama doubled the national debt that took over 200 years to accumulate, you folks have the gall to talk about fiscal conservatism? And you wonder why no conservative would ever take you seriously...

I suggested Obama should have gone through impeachment hearings. The only hypocrisy here is from Trumpists who had a problem with Obama's economic irresponsibility and yet give Trump a pass for doing even worse. None of those were serious "conservatives" to begin with. But keep projecting their hypocrisy onto others if it makes you feel better.

Glad we cleared that up. I do hope Trumpists one day learn that there are more options in life than blind worship of Obama or blind worship of Trump . . . and that their hypocrisy in favor of Trump can't be excused by pointing to smaller hypocrisies among the Obamaites. But I won't hold my breath.

I guess you didn't quite understand, I could care less, you can be whatever type of hypocrite you want. I'm done with you...

And now your are projecting your misunderstanding on others. Fun. I understood your accusation completely. It is just that, like most aspects of Trumpism, it had nothing to do with the world of facts. The only hypocrites on this thread are the economic "conservatives" supporting Trump.

    Says who?

And yes, the eminent domain issue is the same eminent domain issue under Trump as it was under every other President.

Indeed. TDS causes the normally rational to avoid reality itself in their quest.

. . . says the Constitution. In the tax and spending clause. Congress has the power of the purse. All spending from the Treasury has to be approved by Congress. Not that Trump or his followers care.

Yes. Trump Derangement Syndrome causes any Trumpist who might normally be rational to, like Trump himself, avoid reality itself.

The Trumpocity is using our laws, our traditions, and the way our government is organized to behave like a dictator

    What reality is that?

That we have borders and the Federal government is required to protect them?

    Great.

Show me where in the Constitution it says Congress can refuse to fund protection of the borders.

Oh that's right, it doesn't. It says the government is required to protect the integrity of our borders.

That is because Trump fan have terminal TDS. They believe all his lies are the truth. They falsely believe that he is doing what is best for the country when all that he does is what serve him or his family best. They believe that their boy does no wrong.

Or we just actually can read the Constitution.

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence."

Congress never refused to find protection of our borders. It had allocated money for border protection. What Congress did not do was to just fund Trump oriface to himself - his wall.

Now take the wall into the discussion think why would congress need to fund what Mexico is funding ( supposedly). Oh I forgot that was just another lie.

No no no and no. Congress may have refused to fund Trump's wall that Mexico is paying for as we were promised. Congress funded border protection. You need to separate fact from fiction. Fact is congress funded border protection. Fiction is that Trump's wall is border protection and fiction is that Mexico is paying for the wall.

Sure, if by "border protection" you mean "free healthcare for illegals".

Democrats don't want to fund things that stop illegal immigration.

Trumps wall will be limited border protection, for a limited time, at a ridiculous cost...

I hate to keep making the comparison, since it goes over the head of many, but this will be compared to the Maginot Line for history. I understand there are different purposes involved, but the end results will be the same...

And it will never be a campaign promise fulfilled, since Mexico was part of the deal from day 1...

I will celebrate the wall's eventual demise...
