    Bingo!

    Michigan Department of Health & Human Services recently released its January 2019 to January 2021 Monthly Death Counts, thus, last 24 months, and the following causes of deaths;

    Cancer
    Heart Disease
    Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
    Stroke
    Pneunomia & Flu
    Septicimia
    Covid 19

    Sources;

    https://www.mdch.state.mi.us/osr/Provisional/MontlyDxCounts.asp

    Michigan 2020 Death File, Extracted January 8, 2021 . Division for Vital Records & Health Statistics, Michigan Department of Health & Human Services.

    ----------------

    ALSO, said Michigan's monthly death counts reveal;

    Number of deaths from all causes in 2019; 97,704
    Number of deaths from all causes in 2020; 113,975
    A 16.65% increase

    THUS, a huge increase considering the following National stats;

    National Mortality Rate per 1,000/Total deaths

    2018.....8.685......Total deaths; (326,000 X 8.685) = 2831,310
    2019.....8.782......Total deaths; (330,000 X 8.782) = 2,898,060
    2,831,310 + 2.36% = approx. 2,898,060

    https://www.macrotrends.net/countries/USA/united-states/death-rate

    HOWEVER, Michigan's Covid19 death toll is higher than National average, 1,524 deaths per 1M VERSUS 1,303, a difference of 221 deaths per 1M, thus, AT NATIONAL AVERAGE;

    Michigan's mid year population; 9,998,000

    221 X 9.9 = 2,188

    Michigan number of deaths from all causes in 2020; 113,975 minus 2,188 = 111,787
    Number of deaths from all causes in 2019; 97,704 + 14.38% = approx. 111,787

    U.S. 2019 total deaths; 2,898,060 + 14.38% = 3,314,801 deaths

    HOWEVER, excluding Covid19, 2,898,060 + annual 2.36% growth = 2,966,454 deaths

    THEREFORE, number of Covid19 deaths in 2020 = approx. 348,347 deaths, (3,314,801 - 2,996,454) and Worldometer shows; 353,391 deaths.

    IN ADDITION, compared to 2019, Michigan's 2020 number of deaths due to;

    Cancer
    Heart Disease
    Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
    Stroke

    ........show no significant reduction due to Covid19.

    THUS, please analyze Michigan's last 24 months death counts, and have fun debating it.

    By the way, I certainly hope LoneStarGal will show up in this thread, and she knows why.

    No Response?????

    Let's continue.....

    Belief: ''A huge number of people who died of Covid19, would have died of other causes''

    Really?

    Well, let's analyze Michigan's ''huge number'', 2019/2020, January to November

    Michigan 2019;

    1. Number of deaths due to Heart Disease; 22,835
    2. Number of deaths due to Cancer; 18,788
    3. Number of deaths due to Stroke; 4,621
    4. Number of deaths due to Pulmonary Disease; 5,204

    Total; 51,448 plus an annual growth rate of 2.5% = 52,734

    Michigan 2020

    1. Number of deaths due to Heart Disease; 24,731
    2. Number of deaths due to Cancer; 18,772
    3. Number of deaths due to Stroke; 5,356
    4. Number of deaths due to Pulmonary Disease; 5,085

    Total; 53,444

    Thus, for the above listed causes of deaths, where's the huge reduction due to Covid19?

    Trump's loyalists response;

    1. ''Obviously, Michigan's Health & Human Services figures aren't accurate''

    2. ''Michigan's H & H has long been staffed by democrats, thus, no wonder''

    3. ''Evidently, the sole purpose of Michigan's H & H monthly death counts is to discredit Trump and his loyalitsts''

    4. ''The Head of Michigan's H & H is a good friend of Fauci''

    I'll say there are some interesting trends. In the first 3 months of the year they were up 1,469 deaths in the other factors, not counting covid. Once the covid deaths started popping up they other death toll factors leveled out with most coming in slightly lower than the previous year. A lot to factor in those numbers. Why were they on such an uptick before covid then leveled out? Were they really covid deaths early on, was some other factors labeled covid deaths, or was the early uptick in other factors just an anomaly? I will say one thing for sure the flu numbers certainly dropped in 2020 compared to 2019, once covid was found.

    why the huge increase compared to other areas? Didn't Michigan mask up, lock down and kill small businesses? I thought all of that worked to eradicate covid?

    The OP sounds quite pleased so many have died. I’m still trying to process that.

    The purpose of this thread is to ridicule those who believe that 10%/ 25%/50%/75% of people who died of covid19 would have died of other causes.

    AND, I'll keep posting State's Annual/monthly Death Counts rather than CDC.

    Well, whatever floats your boat. But maybe start your thread with something like “sadly, the death toll is mounting” or something instead of “Bingo!”. Your thread, your call, but it in my opinion you seem a little too excited about people dying.

    What percentage of people who died of Covid do you think would have died in the absence of Covid? Of course excess deaths over historical norms have meaning, but I don’t see what’s wrong with admitting facts about the demographics hit hardest by Covid.
