On the contrary, my mother and her family immigrated legally here from the Philippines...

    Next question.

Weak, made up attempt at deflecting blame.

My niece married a guy from the Philippines. Good kid and an exceptional mechanic (frankly the best I have ever seen). He is a mechanic for the Air Force and has already been promoted to NCO. He is 6'2", strong as an ox and has a work ethic completely lacking in my own children. He is the son of a Filipino woman and an American missionary. He (like the majority of the military) is a Trump supporter.

If only there was some way to avoid the hardships associated with immigrating to America. If only.

I hate to explain it to you but you were born here because one of your parents or grandparents was allowed to move here from another country. That is what makes our country unique. There are NO native Americans and that includes the people who are erroneously called Native Americans. That's because they came to America by way of the Bering Straits.

What if they weren't allowed to come here?

Tell me what's illegal about coming to the border and asking for asylum.

The left doesn't understand that Mexicans aren't human beings.

And they understand even less that treating illegals as sub-human is an integral part of Trump's plan to make America great again.

Are you really trying to sell the argument that we don't have enough room?

Did they come here because they liked the view?

The law specifies the conditions for asylum and the vast majority of illegals do not meet the legal standard

Mine arrived here with jobs already lined up and they immediately enrolled in English classes at their own expense. They didn't cross the border and demand their "rights".

And they entered Ellis Island LEGALLY.

Yes, my ancestors were superior to those entering into the U.S. today.

We are talking about the here and now, not the 1600's which was when my forefathers came over( there were no immigration laws then), but if there had been, they would have come legally...if they want to complain, they don't have to stay here. We are a nation of laws, are we not? Do we actually NEED more criminals?

Your statement is not true. The Democrats are not doing a darn thing to gix anything because they are children in adult bodies. If they don't get their way, they have a tantrum or two or a hundred...get into reality and act like a grown up,instead of living in NeverNeverLand...

I don't know but the native Americans that would have forced my forefathers to go home would have been a lot better off!

Nope - we just believe they should be treated like human beings. With respect, as such.

Difference is native Americans did not displace an indigenous population so it was first come first serve. And they did not "allow" European expansion they first tolerated it and then where overwhelmed by it. We could learn from their mistake.

Compared to where they came from these detention centers are five star accommodation resorts WITH free health care. They should really ****.

My family came over between 1912-1920 legally through Ellis Island following all the immigration laws.

What immigrations laws were existing when the "forefathers" came here...
