We'll see how hardened they are after B-52 strikes.

Why are you going in to try genocide for a second time. I thought it was all settled - or rather the people in the region were going to settle it with talks.

An armistice or a treaty is just a peace of paper that is going to be broken in the future by one of the sides. The only questions are when, and which side moves first.

OMG! The military is training our troops for combat! If President Obama were still around he'd put a stop to that crap!! They should instead be in social and interpersonal sensitivity classes.

I don't know why the fact that our Army is training is some ominous sign. And I also don't think our military leaders are going to rely on a ground forces attack to take out NK's nuclear program.

Pretty sure the military prepares for every conceivable scenario. I bet they even have one for aliens invading from space.

Right. They train. But I don't think were going on a ground invasion of NK.

I don't think so either. My best guestimate is that soon there will be a decision not to interfere at all with NK building up a very large nuclear arsenal and a decision not to get all shook up with their increasing testing schedule.

NK will become a very strong nation able to make many demands on other nations because of the big nuclear stick and their ability to use fear to their advantage. NK will take SK by hard negotiation at some point -- that doesn't bother me as we should has gotten out in 1953 and really it was a huge mistake to have gotten involved in 1950.

The choice is to put up with NK as a major world power, or go to all-out world war.

This is what Trump has gotten us to, serious consideration of a war, possibly nuclear, with North Korea. This horror is due to Trump and no one else.

War should be seriously considered with the alternative being as dangerous. But this began when Johnson surrendered the USS Pueblo without a fight and the can has long been kicked down the road.

LBJ did consider the nuclear option on NK, Operation Freedom Drop, and many lesser options but did nothing.

No, they just prepare to secure/guard the Olympics in SK. :hippie:

Well, Hillary openly threatened a nuclear war with Russia, if she became president. Not very different, is it?

The draft dodger in chief is just dying to show what a big boy he is. Unfortunately, he's willing to sacrifice American lives to do so.

Well, I disagree with you. I think the U.S. will not tolerate living under the threat of nuclear annihilation by the likes of Kim Jong Un.

I also think that South Korea is an ally, and it is a free, first world country. I do not believe we will simply abandon South Korea. If we do, we may as well abandon all of our allies, and I just don't see that happening.

A far more effective way to deal with NK would probably drop a few hundred thousend tons of food labeled from the Us for the people acros the country with letters in korean that the fearles leader is getting plenty but keeping it for himself and the us just wants to help the starving people or just throw in a few hundred thousend iphones or phones with satelite connection

Its probably alot cheaper to bomb the country with that and see the fireworks from within with some luck

She did not threaten war with Russia. She said we would defend ourselves in cyberspace and we would defend Syria. Trying to say this is a threat of war with Russia is an example of the RW desperation to deflect everything Trump does onto Hillary, Bill or Obama. And she is MOST CERTAINLY not threatening a nuclear attack. Trump threatened N. Korea with a nuclear attack, saying we would completely destory them. Trump has brought us to the brink of nuclear war with N. Korea, putting the Hawaiian Islands, South Korea and Japan in great jeopardy.

The reason the media did not make a big deal about this is because she didn't threaten war. Your video is from September of 2016. Almost a year and a half ago. If it was such a big deal and she threatened war with Russia, why didn't the RW media pick it up then and make a big deal about it then? The ony reason you are using it now is to deflect from the horror that is D. Trump.

Stop crying 'Hillary' every time you can't defend the Orange Clown. He's like John Wayne Gacy, a deadly, psychotic clown.

It is OK when the army is training. I feel fine if I get the news that a Russian interceptor met an American bomber or American recon near borders of Russia and I feel OK if the same is done by an American interceptor near the borders of the US. When the big boys play hide and seek with nuclear submarines and anti-sub ships and planes - it is also fine. When they fire new nuclear rocket or try another it is sad reality, but also fine. When an army is planning a counterstrike against a side which looks to destroy some ally of his - it is sensitive, but understandable. But when a country is planning a war with a much weaker side (one of the weakest in the world from economical point of view), but against the side which has nuclear arms and the side which feels threatened and panics every time they have military training of their most possible enemy next to their borders and to crown it all at times of the start of Olympic games... I can't find something else more stupid and immoral than this. Besides, both Korean sides started negotiations having already reached an agreement about the coming Olympics. It looks that north Korean athletes would come there in unprecendental quantity. It is a very nice restart of communication and reintegration.

This is absolutely genuine. Prior to 9/11 the Blair Government was discussing that we would need to recruit a different type of person to be a soldier as it looked probable that most of our soldiers would be involved in peace keeping missions so we needed that type of person rather than one into killing. My God, what happened to that world.

Last time before starting a war with USSR and China the US tried its army in Korea. Luckily it hasn't gone that far to nuclear attack. Although the military, the generals demanded it and only due to politicians it didn't happen. Koreans in their turn couldn't strike back with a nuke. Nowadays I don't see reasonable politician who are strong enough not to use the nuke, especially knowing that North Korea is able to nuke the US mainland (if they don't lie - even Washington). Under the circumstances I believe that ground invasion and invasion itself is a huge risk and local nuclear war is a guaranteed global nuclear war. Last time the US attacked soviet airfields and planes next to the region with regular arms. This time it could be nuclear strikes...
