Let me guess your most basic political belief: the U.S. is a source for evil in this world.

    Did I get it right?

Well that last post about our troops getting "eaten alive" seems far fetched, I remember hearing/seeing the same about Desert Storm I Jan/Feb,1991, where Iraq's Elite troops would "eat alive"our Marine corps.
Actual result was more like about 4000 Iraqi troops including generals/officer ranks ....some trained by Soviet special forces of the day....surrendering to about 30 US Marines.
Now maybe I'm wrong....we be see, but history might repeat itself here....I.e. Desert Storm 1!?!;)

Clinton very may well have. So did lardass donnie. Me pointing out that trump is a cowardly draft dodger is not a defense of anyone else. Try to learn the difference so you don't sound so ridiculous.

Another invasion? And the U.S. government has the balls to criticize others?

I agree that a conventional war with Russia could turn nuclear. The rest of your commentary is ignorant nonsense :)

Bush Jr. was a dodger as well in any realistic sense of the word.

That just shows either 1) that Bush was much dumber than Clinton by not realizing what he was getting into or 2) That Bush knew from the beginning that daddy was going to get him out of harms way.

I say its a little of both. Bush Jr. was a whole lot dumber than Clinton but at the end of the day he knew that daddy was going to get him out of seeing any combat in Vietnam.

(text below starting at 4:02 into the youtube video)

Cannot post link. Google: Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard Calls For Immediate Negotiations With North Korea!

"George Stephanopoulos: Just to be clear, you’re saying that Kim Jong Un’s nuclear arsenal is our fault?

Tulsi Gabbard: What I’m saying is that Democrat and Republican administrations for decades, going back over 20 years, failed to recognize the seriousness of this threat, failed to remove it. And we know that North Korea has these nuclear weapons because they see how the United States, in Libya for example, guaranteed Qaddafi, we’re not going to go after you; you should get rid of your nuclear weapons. He did, then we went and led an attack that toppled Qaddafi, launching Libya into chaos that we are still seeing the results of today.

North Korea sees what we did in Iraq, with Saddam Hussein, with those false reports of weapons of mass destruction. And now seeing in Iran how President Trump is decertifying a nuclear deal that prevented Iran from developing their nuclear weapons, threatening the very existence and the agreement that was made.

So yes, we’ve got to understand North Korea is holding on to these nuclear weapons because they think it is their only protection from the United States coming in and doing to them what the United States has done to so many countries throughout history.

GS: Was it a mistake for the United States to take out Qaddafi and Hussein?

    TG: It was, absolutely.

GS: Tulsi Gabbard, thanks for the time this morning."

    "This Week" 1-14-2018

To see the Clinton Administration take on this, "going back over 20 years," on youtube Google:

Bill Clinton on Virtues of North Korean Nuclear Deal

I agree that it was a mistake to remove saddam and kaddafi

Bush identified the Axis Of Evil correctly but misifentified the most serious threat which as north korea followed by iran

    Iraq was the least serious

Now we are becoming isolated not because of trump but because of the Three Stooges that preceded him

W's daddy spent his life getting Jr. out of his numerous F ups and failures. I still contend that his abortive service attempt was at least an attempt. Also, far more than the tubby coward in the white house could ever fathom.

And now we're getting to the ridiculous. The US and Canada are hosting a world conference on N. Korea, and China and Russia who border N. Korea and who will be the most affected by anything that happens, haven't been invited except at the end so they can be told the results.

What results you idiots, don't you know Russia and China have their armies lined up along the border to make sure no one messes with N. Korea? Are you people crazy? Not only that, but the US and Canada are doing it at a time when the North and the South are ready to hold high level talks. :wall:

I hope we are not crazy enough to listen to russian and chinese sympathizers who care nothing about America

If kim were not building nuclear weapons to threaten the US there would be no war

Why. Quite possible to compare. North Koreans are stronger because of the nukes. Vietnamese were stronger because of the forces in the region. In Korea the total group of US allies outnumbers north Koreans and in Vietnam it was different. But these differences are only good for comparison.

Well. Imagine that N.Korea is located next to San-Francisco and Russia makes a nuclear attack of this N.Korea making deep apologize to American people for San-Francisco. Would you feel just fine after that or you will expect a war of the US and Russia? Now look at the map. N.Korea is small and Russian and Chinese territory is next to it. If there is nuclear war (and it cannot be different even if americans don't use their nukes it will be Koreans and no one in Russia or China would ever feel OK after it. So war with N.Korea means a global war.

The South Koreans were the meanest arse, toughest arse, cruelest arse soldiers in Vietnam. Their kill ratio was around 30 to 1. When ROK Marines went out on a mission in Vietnam they killed everything living, right down to the chickens. When a Cong or a regular wouldn't talk he was sent to the ROK Marines. It is likely that the NK soldiers are even meaner-arse, tougher-arse, and crueler-arse -- when they're goose stepping they're stomping on an American face in their imagination -- they're super motivated.

I can imagine china acting in its best interests but you refuse to see America doing the same

Instead you demand that we present our neck to a north korean madman holding a knife

And in my opinion chinas best interest in this situation would be to arrest or assissinate kim

To be honest I do not blame either for not wanting to go to Vietnam. It is one thing to serve the country when the country is actually being threatened, quite another to go kill people in another land on the basis of questionable politics. For this reason I feel the draft was illegitimate.

Been to South Vietnam and to South Korea TDY. Saw a S Korean officer beat a S Korean enlisted man almost to death with the blunt end of a bayonet because he couldn't get a lawn mower started. Meanest arse soldiers in the world except for the Turks.
