I think there could be accord; I don't believe KJU is as mad as you think. Still, I don't know and you don't know, so we'll have to wait and see. But as they used to say - jaw-jaw is better than war-war?

I agree that there are many unknowns

I think kim is predictable when it comes to sharing his power with anyone in exchange for anything

    He wont do it

And I dont think a democratically elected s korean president could desolve the ROK and invite the north to take over AT THIS TIME.

But I dont know how far south koreans are willing to go to appease kim

Someday in the future they might give in to his demands to remove US troops which would be a giant step toward total surrender

We will just have to wait and see

If you think the destruction of roads and bridges is going to have that meaningful of an impact should we choose to invade NK, you're just incorrect. If you think there isn't a vast tunnel network into those mountains, you are bordering on delusional. There are historical examples to help you in your misunderstanding on the applications of air power. I suggest reading up on them.

I cant read the generals minds

But I suspect our attack on north korea would be limited to taking out their nukes only

I doubt that's possible to do without any kind of backlash from little kim.

Are you actually attempting to speak for the SK people? Just so you can cry about liberals?

The US isn't going to give the North Koreans advance warning before an attack.

    In this case yes

If they ever wanted the US to leave all they have to do is say the word

    But they never have

Frankly you are in no position to do so. It's completely irresponsible for you to even try it.

Iraq had been decimated by the war with Daddy Bush a decade earlier. There was an arms embargo ever since and crippling sanctions were causing mass starvation.

Saddam was fighting back with dilapidated 1960's technology - the stuff left over. The moral among the people was ridiculously low and the few republican guards were poorly equipped.

This situation does not remotely compare to N.Korea.

Could you post a link to that? I mean 4000 troops surrendering to 30 should be fairly newsworthy, but I can't find it.

True. A few hundred Humvees dropped on strategic targets should do the trick.

Are those russian planes and parachutes that patrotic Americans are laughing at?

Or American planes that russians are laughing at?

The best way to check if smth is true or not is to place yourself to other circumstances. Imagine that you live in the USA which is a small country divided by a civil war that dates back to just 50 years with a more developed KSA (no peace treaty just a cease fire agreement) and KSA is backed by a great superpower - KOREA, which used its carriers to attack several states already and is performing military training almost every year. The training itself means that a number of military, a huge number carrying real weapons are approaching your borders and you can only rely on the words that they don't attack you. Would you feel threatened? I would. As for NK as a threat its not deadly for the US. If NK decides to attack they can make a damage but they can't win a war. The threat is not that deadly.

Give me a real and substantial argument that if NK doesn't have nukes they won't be attacked like Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya or Yugoslavia. I don't see any. Maybe you have.

It's quite debatable, because the only thing that stopped the west of attacking the USSR even before the NATO and Warsaw pact was the ability of USSR to make an unappropriate damage to USA. This ability and not the intentions are still making peace between the countries that you don't like.

I don't adore Trump. But I can't imagine any logical way for me to wish a better future for americans only on condition that they change their political structure to the way I like. It's none of my business actually. If the americans want an alpha-male as their president - it's their choice. If they want a woman with a specific color of her skin - it's also their choice. How can I possibly respect the people without respecting their freedom to act not the way I want?

Now this is the true issue I would agree completely.

NK is threatened. US can be a deadly enemy for any nation or state. It has the might for that. NK can only bite with its nukes. If there is a war between NK and USA then whatever is the success to neutralize Korean nukes - China and Russia won't get easy with just words that it's all Kim's fault. If you look at the conflict of US forces and Korea (backed by China and USSR) you will see that during the war US attacked several times soviet territory by mistake. The war stopped when some American generals demanded nuclear bombing... The risks of bigger war stopped the US of doing that. Now the situation got even more complicated. So it is not about Kim or dictatorship.
