    We disagree about justice.

I will agree though that to understand the rest of your comment one needs to “contrive” some way to do so.

Which means your problem is still with the host!

Why don't you start a movement of host resistance to Big Corp? Encourage people to become as self-sufficient as possible, and deprive those parasites of hosts. That's how you fight back. Not fighting back means you approve of the system as is - since you're smart enough to know you're being 'tricked' and all.

Nope. The reference is regarding voluntary pooling of resources because of the circumstances of the day. Not mandatory by government edict or force as Communism/Socialism advocate.

Both are technically 'haters'. There are people on both sides, who show disdain/disregard for certain sectors of the community for the worst reasons (race, gender, etc).

The fair minded see only merit/character/behaviour. It advantages all, and favours none.

I realise that. But you made the point anyway ... very clearly.

Last Thursday 10/15/2020 Goldman Sachs put out a note that over the past 30 years, America's wealthiest 1% bought $1.5Trillion in stocks while the bottom 99% were net sellers of $800 Billion of stocks, during the same time period. Sort of puts into perspective who is really profiting from the stock market.

Yes, it shows that only 1% are keen enough to bother. Does that surprise you? Most of us don't want to work anywhere near that hard.

That's why I read a Nobel economist instead of kooks.

    What's your excuse.

Quite true, but it's also true for nations.

Pretty much everyone is stuck, intellectually, and to one degree or another in the 1800s. It was a tumultuous century, mercantilism at the beginning, capitalist by the end. Strongly religiously oriented at the beginning, fairly secular by the end.

I think you're a mercantilist stuck somewhere in the early 1800s.

Your economic babbling doesn't allow for capitalism.

    Oooops.

    Same old blame-the-victim filth....

The problem of malaria is with the parasites, not the host, sorry.
Without widespread correct understanding, such movements are doomed to failure. Surely by now we have enough evidence of that.
No, that's not how you fight back, because self-sufficiency is self-defeating. The advance of technology means the efficient division of labor becomes ever more minute, and power comes from effective utilization of ever-larger production systems.
You could with equal "logic" claim that individual liver cells not fighting back against malaria parasites means they approve of malaria.

More accurately, you refuse to know, and dismiss as platitudes and clichés, all the self-evident and indisputable facts of objective physical reality that prove your beliefs are false and evil, as a contrivance to preserve those false and evil beliefs.
I don't admire those who refuse to know self-evident and indisputable facts of objective physical reality because they have already realized those facts prove their beliefs are false and evil. Sorry.

I have offered a definition that I believe captures the essence of the concept without the resort to circularity that is all too often seen in dictionary definitions. If you think you can do better, go ahead. But I do not think you can.
Such as higher-than-primary-school English reading comprehension....?

Are you running nations, personally? Or are you running yourself? YOU are the only thing you can change about the world, and that's true for every one of us who isn't running a nation. It's on us to adapt to the conditions of our particular nation. Work with what is (and in so doing work against it - if it's not to your liking) not what we fantasise about. If enough of us work against a status quo we don't like, that status quo is doomed.

ALL of it comes from the people. We create the nations we want via our daily habits, they don't create us. Don't like capitalism? Stop buying stuff and go live in a commune. Don't like socialism? Start your own business and make it work. We live in democracies. We have all the power.

And no matter how much wealth the top 1% accumulated, it takes nothing away from me or anyone else or prevents me or anyone else from accumulating wealth.

Your post repeats the core message of the Bernie Sanders campaign in 2016 & 2020. Americans need to heed the info & think about fixes.

Capitalism involves extensive cooperation between government and business.

Your limited understanding of economics is pre-capitalist.

    Not at all true.

"In public-choice theory, as well as in economics, rent-seeking means seeking to increase one's share of existing wealth without creating new wealth.[1] Rent-seeking results in reduced economic efficiency through misallocation of resources, reduced wealth-creation, lost government revenue, heightened income inequality,[2] and potential national decline."
