What I will say as a opponent, and I’d love to say this to Trumps face, is “The minute you begin acting and looking presidential, I will begin to think about addressing you as president.”

I really think Trump has watered down the threat of sexual harassment. A regular Republican Party would say it goes against their values, but Trump comes out defending Roy Moore.

My wife voted for Trump, but I didn't. She votes straight economic reasons.

I have no opinion of Donald Trump the man. Before he was elected to me he was just another celebrity and I paid little attention to all of that. Until he was elected no one was talking about the elephant in the room, that is, the absolute shambles Congress was making of our beloved republic. To them America was their personal piggy bank and they were growing fat in their corruption. To them it became their personal vehicle to obscene wealth. Instead of enacting laws that were beneficial to all Americans they made it known that they could be bought and the law became a matter of what was won by the highest bidder. I guess we've always thought that some of this was necessary to get some things done. It's now obvious that it's never been about us or hasn't been for a very long time and that Obama and Hillary went along for the ride, both are quite wealthy. Say what you want about President Trump but until he came along no one dared bring any of this up. I suspect that is because he's not interested in acquiring more wealth, for him the immortality that history bestows on major players is the holy grail. What could be more historic than exposing the absolute scum Washington has become and they've got nothing on him except his indelicate comportment. I'm not defending boorish behavior but it's small potatoes compared to what's been going on for decades and the concomitant decline of America. America could be great again but we have to replace all of the politicians in congress with bona fide statesmen, do they even exist?

They rationalize away evil. Apparently they'd have elected Charles Manson as long as he supported their tax policies.

I'm curious. Does she attribute what is happening now with the economy to the Groper-in-Chief or to the strength of the global economy at the time he was elected?

Well the important point you make is ‘acting’. It appears that acting based on polls is more important than doing.

Seeing how it pretty much heated up after Trump was elected I think you have your answer.

The equivalent of that scenario is playing out in AL right now. Kellyanne admitted as much with her plea to make voting for Moore about voting for a tax cut, or conservative SC judges. No degree of moral depravity is apparently too much in order to get a legislative agenda passed.

Can't answer that question, but I would guess it certainly wasn't the strength of the global economy.

    https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...bal-growth-commodities-weakness-idUSKCN0XB2O3

    April 14, 2016
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Financial leaders from the Group of 20 nations said on Friday they were heartened by a recent recovery in financial markets, but warned that global growth was “modest and uneven” and threatened by weakness in commodities-based economies.

How many times do I have to debunk the Right's use of that quote, not just taken out of context but completely distorted to give it a meaning that was not intended? Once again, she was talking about changing the economic development model from one historically reliant on fossil fuels to one reliant on renewable energy. Don't look now but your disingenuousness is showing.

We knew that when he called for torture and the mass murder of innocent people, and his cult cheered wildly.

Hitler would have been so proud.

But............that article came out a year and a half ago. Does she stay current with the state of economic affairs globally?

Since there doesn't appear to be any proof regarding Moore beyond he said/she said, perhaps the remarkable Sherlock Holmes magic WaPo pulled off hints to the depravity of a force willing to do anything to keep a legislative agenda from being passed.

Trump is the equivalent of Ukrainian peasants burning their crop in the deliberate Soviet famine of the holodomor. They figure of they're going to starve anyway, why let the party have their grain? Burn it in protest.

It's an act of desperation by an electorate which feels left behind by the unanimous support for corporatism in both parties. When people are forced to suppress their actual views, for instance, against identity politics, they come out in different ways. In the anonymity of the voting booth for instance.

You asked the question, which I took to mean the global economy was strong. It wasn't.

Let me guess, it got strong when Trump was elected. To which I say, economies don't turn on a dime. The groundwork for what we are seeing now was being laid for years. Both here and abroad.

Right, and you would give credit to the President for anything? I agree economies don't turn on a dime. However, a promising business environment goes a long way to stimulate activity. Certainly one of the many weaknesses of the former administration was any recognition of this fact. It's more than just a case of good timing or coincidence the economy has shown greater strength over the last year, than in prior years.
