The fired Minneapolis police officer seen in a video with his knee on George Floyd's neck has been arrested and charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter, according to Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman. "The investigation is ongoing," Freeman said, adding that he anticipated charges against the other three officers involved in the incident. "We entrust our police officers to use certain amounts of force to do their job to protect us. They commit a criminal act if they use this force unreasonably," he said. https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/29/us/minneapolis-george-floyd-friday/index.html ______________________________ Yet this brave police officer only followed POTUS's recommendations not to be too nice with people in custody and encouraged them to stop protecting peoples' heads when they're handcuffed and ducking to get into squad cars. With Trump, it's impossible for the racists in this country to see Biden as a viable alternative. MAGA.
Where exactly did the President instruct this officer to do this? The officers answer directly to the Chief and Mayor's Office... Are you claiming the Mayor is a Trump puppet? LOL!
No, fake news media is the one that race baits everything. Feel free to prove it Trump has caused racial tension.
Or the police officer murdered the black guy because he was not "clean and articulate" enough for him. We know Biden likes his blacks to be clean and articulate. Or perhaps this police officer believed the black guy was one of Hillary Clinton's"Super Predators" and decided to snuff him out for Hillary.
No he is not. The race hustlers and democrats are responsible for that. If the dems had a decent platform to run on then race baiting would not be necessary.
So you’re saying the 17 previous complaints against this officer for unnecessary force are Trump’s fault also? City records show 17 complaints against Chauvin, the AP reported, and 16 were closed with no discipline. One complaint resulted in two letters of reprimand. On a side note the public is going to be furious when Chauvin pleads down from manslaughter to aggravated assault and only gets 1 year in prison with 4 years unsupervised probation.
I agree but I'm pretty sure they legally cant if he request protective custody. Might even be a SC ruling to such effect?
In 1990, Trump bought a full page in the New York Times to demand the execution of the defendants in the Central Park 5 case. Four black, one Hispanic. Only one in five was over 18. They were all acquitted of miscarriages of justice many years later. They received a total of $41 million in compensation. If we'd listened to Trump, they'd all have died for nothing. Trump still refuses today to believe that they are innocent and doesn't regret his action. So don't try to convince me that Trump isn't the worst demagogue ever to have held the position of POTUS.
Yeah, hate to burst your bubble, but this cop is from a blue state, with a dem governor, in a Uber blue city, with a dem mayor, and majority dem city council, with a police chief picked by a democrat mayor. Way to fail.
This isn’t about left or right. We all had a hand in this tragedy by allowing this nonsense to persist day after day, year after year, decade after decade. Until we get it through our thick heads that an offense against one of us is an offense against all of us this crap is going to continue. A citizen is a citizen.
So what? Trump was not president then. Later Clinton became president and was responsible for a crime bill that incarcerated millions of black men. And you are whining about a newspaper ad?
Arkanis said: ↑ Thanks. He's responsible for exacerbating the climate of racial tension in the country. So I assume you also blame Trump for all the race riots that occurred in ‘15 and ‘16? People like you are responsible for racial tensions with your race bating. There is nothing in this killing that suggests racism. Shapiro nails it in this clip.
Are you unfamiliar with Trump's speech to the police at the start of his 'reign'? “When you see these towns and when you see these thugs being thrown into the back of a paddy wagon, you just see them thrown in, rough, and I said, ‘Please don’t be too nice,’ “ Trump told the audience of law enforcement officers at Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood, N.Y. “Like when you guys put somebody in the car and you’re protecting their head, you know, the way you put their hand over, like, don’t hit their head and they’ve just killed somebody, don’t hit their head, I said, ‘You can take the hand away, OK?’ “
