P1: The Universe Has a Beginning

(Theory of the Singularity)​

P2: Anything That Has a Beginning Must Have Been Caused By Unknown

(Principal of Causality)​

Therefore, It follows then that the Universe Must Have a Cause

P1': This Cause (initial energy) is of an unknown origin.
P2': The Unknown Origin is beyond the current level of understanding in the natural laws.
Therefore, The Cause is beyond scientific understanding or the laws of nature. (Supernatural)

Of course, your objections (well-grounded) are (very) similar to those raised → first by David Hume and then by Immanuel Kant. (You are in excellent company.)

There is → no "evidence," either for or against, supporting the existence of a "Supreme Being" or some "intelligent design." It is contingent upon a faith-based belief.

Faith is NOT based on logic and experience (including that which is most probable). Faith (Abrahamic Religions) is based upon that which cannot be defined (the supernatural).
