Regarding Christianity, there is one Gospel, one salvation and one Christ. Yet there are forty thousand different denominations, with forty thousand different names, forty thousand different interpretations, forty thousand different Christs, and forty thousand different salvations. To look at it, it would seem truth is not what they hold in common, but a rarity rejected in mass.

Most of the gospel was written by the persecutor of christians.
And yes, there are 40 thousand ways to interpret the bible.
    And 40M personal interpretations.

So, it's not something to put a lot of stock in.

Yeah, many people who reject the Christian religion, do so for that reason. Then the multitude of Churchs shout, if you reject Jesus you will go to hell. But the rejecters aren't really rejecting Jesus doctines. They're rejecting the babble preventing them from the truth. At least that's my perception. So if there is any onus in the matter, it should rightly be on the cacophony of Churchs who stand in the way like a giant threshing machine, beating, thrashing and shuffling hapless souls into this or that dogmatic stride. Who can blame anyone who says, I don't trust that monstrosity.

Why do Christians condemn children who self-identify as being the opposite gender?

Well lets be fair about this, it is only some Christians who do so. The more time I spend on this forum the more I think that the majority of religious people are kind and caring off whatever faith. Now the OP has described me and other people as his "enemy". These fundamentalists are the haters, I think its xenophobia, fear of anything different, so a child who identifies as the opposite gender would be right up there for attack. What we have seen in america in the last couple of months shows how much these haters have infected american society.

Yes, you are correct, it is only a SUBSET of Christians, primarily fundamentalist zealots, who engage that kind of fear based hatred. Mea Culpa!

That's news to me. More than likely they condemn outside influence on children for children to even conceive of such an oddity.

There is nothing at all odd about the choices that children make for themselves.

I disagree. When I grew up, not a single kid I ever knew or met was entrapped by such a conundrum. It is a relatively recent phenomenon, introduced by psychiatrists and new age guru's. I think it is hideous.

When I was a kid there was no such thing as ADHD and yet my daughter was very much helped by it being recognised. So times change, medical understanding moves on.

Human psychology is infinitely fascinating and equally complex. One of the original NLP doctors mentioned, for example, that he had never personally met a victim of "multiple personality" who had not previously been diagnosed as such by another psychologist. This illustrates how separating human maladies from mental/psychological states is impossible. In a way, it's the "chicken and egg" conundrum in another form. Briefly, what we need is to better educate the population about the basics of their own functioning. The brain's structure, the effect of language on thought, and the subjective nature of perception are not that difficult to understand when explained well. Such an improvement in awareness would rapidly eliminate a great deal of what are currently regarded as problems.

That's different. It's a mental disorder. We had one kid who had a similar issue with germs and cleanliness. He had to take like ten showers a day. We all took it in stride.

When I grew up kids LEARNED very quickly to REMAIN in the CLOSET otherwise they would be called sissies and ******s and mercilessly BULLIED and TAUNTED by the other kids,

Just because YOU were never AWARE of it back then does NOT mean that it did not EXIST.

Our society was BIGOTED against any kid that was not "normal".

    Facts matter!

GENDER Dysphoria is NOW a recognized mental condition and NOT a "mental disorder".

It's all just a carry-over from paganism with tons of rationalizing thrown in to make it mystically/supernaturally plausible. The religion-makers also tried to make their scheme more attractive to the pagans so as to encourage their conversion.

The sun (son) dies on about Dec 21 (the winter solstice) and a new sun (son) is born (resurrected) after three days. The sun (son) hangs on the celestial cross for 3 days.

As it says in the bible, except a corn of wheat die etc. Likewise John Barleycorn must die (be harvested).

Another angle: Having someone else take final responsibility for your sins (by being crucified) is also part of the priestcraft motive for disempowerment and dependence of the laity.

Why can't it be what it is, a perfect sacrifice to answer the demands of eternal justice, to restore the eternal law broken by Adam/Eve and all of following mankind, to overcome death and bring about the resurrection and salvation of mankind? You say it disempowers us and makes us dependent. In fact it is there as an option. If you choose to turn on a light switch, have you been disempowered and made dependent upon science and standards. Does calling 911 or going to a Doctor render you disempowered and dependent. Or is it an option, a blessing for which to be thankful. Is it a fools errand to store up treasures against the day when we can no longer do? So was Jesus's counsel to store treasures in heaven by doing good, so far fetched? Does it disempower to bless another, to heal, to comfort. Or is it an act born of love so as to restore? So why can't God so love the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. In fact Jesus gospel is in every aspect of our lives and beings to one degree or another. He wove it together, drew it up like a net and said welcome to my table. We are not alien to God, nor he to us. It is neither ancient nor distant, but with us always. To us is but to have an ear to hear. Be thankful, gracious and glad. Our nation bends over backwards to try to justify self indulgent sexual perversion, and then makes sport of the wholesome gospel of Jesus Christ. This ought not to be.

Maybe you can explain what eternal law Adam & Eve broke?

If you believe in the Gospel of Jesus, will you please give me $1 million by December 31, 2021?

    There is NO "eternal justice"!

That was ENTRAPMENT by your imaginary OMNISCIENT god!

    Never happens is REALITY!

Surely you know that they disobeyed God, ate the wrong food, and brought death to themselves and all their offspring. To me Jesus's gospel of salvation, atonement, and eternal life, makes sense. What doesn't is the silly notion that we live and die for nothing, or eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we die. It makes all the good we do and justice we seek to be nothing but apish acts of vanity. Purposelessness is pointlessness.

Say what you will, but it's pretty clear that none of us has the power to undo death or blot out the wrongs we've done as if we had never done them. That sounds like an eternal law to me. And our willfulness is not entrapment, especially in light of the fact that we have consciences to know right from wrong, and the free agency to choose to do one thing or another. As for Jesus's atonement and resurrection, you can't from a place of ignorance say that it is not so, as if you could know what you do not know.

ALL you have are Stone Age MYTHS and SUPERSTITIONS!

You have ZERO factual evidence to support those myths and superstitions.

YOU allege that your IMAGINARY god is OMNIPOTENT which means that he set a TRAP for Adam and Eve with full FOREKNOWLEDGE that they would FAIL!

You cannot have it BOTH ways. He SET them up to FAIL because he KNEW that they would FAIL beforehand...that is what OMNISCIENCE means.

So setting mankind up for FAILURE and then DEMANDING that they MUST conform to ARBITRARY and CAPRICIOUS religious dogma in order to "redeem" themselves is the equivalent of SLAVERY.

Yes, I do KNOW right from wrong and your SOCIOPATHIC deity is 100% WRONG which is why he DUPES his followers into being ignorant about science, logic, reason and education.

    Sad!

It seems that you missed the boat. Adam & Eve's sin was that they broke the First Commandment. They worshiped (believed and obeyed) the serpent when the serpent told them that God had lied to them (Genesis 3:1-13). A significant number of stories in the Bible are based on the First Commandment. The God character gets really pissed when people worship other Gods. Remember, his name is Jealous. He is like Trump, but a million times worse.

Yet they are wholesome, graceful and applicable thru the ages.

I have all the evidence I need for me. That you don't, is not my problem.

Are road rules with punishments affixed for violating them an act of omniscient entrapment. Or are they there for everyone's well being?

Accountability to God is not slavery. It is love. On the other hand, emergency rooms and graveyards are filled with those who've violated the unforgiving laws of science, logic, reason and education. Would you refuse medical care and dismiss the Doctors orders/advice?
