Good to see Mississippi focusing on the important stuff. This will turn the state around.

...and even if it had "rights" NO one has the right to use another's body to sustain their own life....Anti-Choicers want the fetus to have MORE rights than women!!!

Sounds like you're trying to change the issue now.

    Save it for another thread.

Sounds like, as usual, you want to avoid facts and take your "It's off topic ,start another thread" route...
It helps you avoid posts like #23 and #24....

Sounds like, as usual, you're trying to derail someone else's thread and have trouble staying on topic.

What's the problem? You don't want to talk about Mississippi and Roe v Wade?

Mississippi can't overturn Roe, only the Court can.

House Democrats Make History by Striking the Hyde Amendment.

Crazy Nancy and her flying monkeys vote to force taxpayers to fund the killing of the unborn.

    We've become lax.
It's very important to vote these abortion extremists out.

Great, let's rid the Welfare State then and you'll all for abortion, yes?

Oh, who am I kidding. No Conservative actually wants that.

"Abortion extremists". Booooooooo, spooky, spooky, scary.

Is anyone "for" abortion? Or is it something that's resorted to in the aftermath of either tragedy or a screw-up? The idea that as a society we are deeply divided over abortion is yet another fake news lie.

Most Americans believe in the same standard that is widespread through Europe and the Western World, that abortion should be limited to the first three months of pregnancy.

Only 15 percent of Americans hold the extremist view of convenience destruction of the unborn in the 3rd trimester.

67% support restrictions on abortions as states deem fit.

Even a fifth of Democrats describe themselves as pro-life.

We shall see - it should still allow for health of the woman though

What I cannot understand though is why the difference between a non viable foetus at 15 weeks and one at 20 weeks?

Ooooh! I think you are very correct on that one. “God Guns and Abortion” lose one and they lose a proportion of their base

Maybe you should learn about the stages of fetal development a little bit more. There is a lot of development that goes on between 15 and 20 weeks. The fetus is getting very close to "baby territory".

What TF is "baby territory" ? Is that an Anti-Choicers idea of scientific terminology ? :roflol::roflol::roll:

"Very close to" still implies potency -- No matter how close it is, the baby is not born until it is born. And, as have been explained before, potentials do not have rights.

A fetus at 15 or 20 weeks is not merely just a potential.

But I personally believe potentiality is one of the considerations in rights.

A fetus at 15 or 20 weeks is an actual fetus at 15 or 20 weeks, but still just a potential newborn.

Then your understanding of rights is not just wrong, but also a very corrupted and outrageous one.

These conversations are just circular with the same players. Here's hoping Roe vs Wade gets trashed where it belongs though!

Faulty logic. A person doesn't stop growing until 25. And with your logic, I could use the term "potential adult human" up until the age of 25.

    I mean yikes.

:) Ya, Anti-Choicers have been saying that for over 50 years....hasn't happened yet :)....see, most Americans believe everyone should have rights...not just men.

And how will that stop abortions?

No.....destroying women's rights may be great to Texans but not to most freedom and liberty loving Americans, the TRUE Americans....

Too bad Texass can't handle a power grid the way they want to handle their women...I guess if they can't have power over one thing they'll weakly try for something else..
