He would also hate a race baiting scumbag like Trump and the current GOP. What's your point?

    - - - Updated - - -

Honestly, the fact that MLK having his own holiday pisses off the far right/Trump voters makes it completely worth it. He was a great American, and the same losers who oppose his holiday today are the same ones who opposed him when he was alive.

Not at all as there is nothing race baiting about Trump.

Sure there is. The only reason he's where he's at today is entirely because of race baiting.

Nothing but projection.. I suggest you read your posts again in this thread and the "Magic Negro" thread perhaps it will sink in.

By discussing your posts? Hardly.. Were you willing to call Jim Brown a "Mediocre Negro" as well for meeting with Trump? How many Blacks are you going to throw under the bus for not acting the way you think they should hmmm?

Trump met with Mlk III as well is he a "Mediocre Negro" and "Brought out" as the race baiting bone head on CNN suggests?

Strange you think Orange skin is the topic and not the what the OP is about.. very strange.. Perhaps because you are backed into a corner..

Can't seem to discuss the topic, eh? Keep focusing on my posts and making false accusations about me. It's apparently all you got in your lame never ending defense of Trump.

Cant answer the question can you? The topic revolves around MLK and race relations... Every single one of my posts in this thread have discussed that.. Attack posters and then complain that people are making false accusations. Amusing!

Your question was stupid, thus why I didn't answer. BTW, mind showing me what blacks I supposedly "threw under the bus" as you asserted? Or can we just chalk that up to an off-topic personal attack?

There are a lot of great Americans, and a lot more deserving of federal holiday that MLK.

That doesn't diminish what MLK does, it just doesn't try to artificially inflate it with delusions of grandeur.

    Your statement proves my own.

The "losers" who opposed him when he was alive? ...yea ...DEMOCRATS!

News flash, friend, Democrats opposed the civil rights act in near total majority.

Your comment is precisely why we need to stop poisoning history with liberal revisionist lessons.

If you, and millions of others, had received a better education (one not rewritten by leftists) then you would know that yes, MLK was a great guy who play a small yet still important role - but he was not the entire driving force of the "civil rights movement" nor did he even have any influence.

He was simply one of many doing work at the time and liberalism has decided to make him some grand propped up figurehead because its easy to con people into worshiping idols - always has been.

I find it interesting that some "conservative" talk show host is making "fake news", and all you can think of is Obama policies.

How about the mess Bush, and Republicans, had created?

So the comments about how the right would make him a "one term President" were meaningless? Hell, Obama even walked over to the Congress to try to get them to work with his, and they said no.

LOL, like ether party wants the other party to have control.

Like you did with your "I won" comment?

You know it is against the rules for me to do so.

    Thanks for the laugh.

And one supported by Christ, and the Founding Fathers. Then too, one is not speaking of a guaranteed income, just one in which a family can live on without government assistance. Of course, you cannot understand that corporatism is based on socialist policies for the wealthy.

Columbus Day still exists as a federal holiday. It's just depressing because it's now spent criticizing him (for living as a man of his times), instead of praising him.

Franklin's birthday is January 17. Too close to MLK. Interestingly, Washington's Birthday is February 22, and Lincoln's Birthday is February 12.

That's interesting. You would think that such worthies would have the prescience to spread their natal commemorations more sensibly.

Your hyperbole is duly noted. And btw, conservatives opposed him. The fact that they were registered Democrats at the time is irrelevant. Most conservatives in the south back then supported the Democrats because they hated the party of Lincoln. But now, in 2017, who the hell do they support now? Trump and the GOP. Same ideology, different parties.

Yea we've all heard this fairy tale buddy its one of the top 10 liberal bed time stories.

Except, as with most liberal lies, there isn't a single bit of proof to back it up.

Meanwhile the DEMOCRAT party had KKK members in it during the modern era.

And I guess I might as well ask - how did minorities fair after 8 years of Democrat rule?

    ....yea ...not so good huh?

Oh, how are they doing in Chicago and Detroit after decades upon decades of absolute Democrat rule?

    ...hmm ...not ...so ...good.

You cant see it because you've been scammed.

But the rest of us see it very clearly.

The tactics might have changed but the Democrat party is still the same colored-hating cesspool it has always been.

It's not my claim that some unnamed talk show host prevented Obama from improving race relations. I find the claim amusing but not very interesting.

Bush and the Republicans handed the Democrats a strong economy and a deficit of just $161B when they took control of the Congress and majority control of the government in 2007

Obama was the one who said no along with Reid and Pelsoi but why would you expect an opposition party to try and reelect the other sides nominees? You make no sense.

Yes so why would you expect the Republicans to have said they would work to reelect Obama?

“Elections have consequences, and at the end of the day, I won.” – President Obama to House Republican Whip Eric Cantor, January 23, 2009.

    icing on the cake.

    So try again
Post exactly what you are talking about the Republicans stating they wanted him to be a one term President. Who are you talking about uttering those words, what was the occasion and to whom was he speaking and what was his entire statement in context.

Dodge noted, so you can't support your claim then.

    What was funny about it?

So you believe our government should be based on Christianity?

And this is in the Constitution where exactly?

What distinction are you trying to make, would that income be guarantied to them?

Of you course you fail to understand it is not.

Was your allegation, and one I never made. However, right wing fake news, and fake comments, are prevalent today.

More right wing lies. Corporations were fleeing the country, the wars he started had not been paid for, jobs were being lost, and the list goes on. The recession had already started.

Your lies are all the right wing has.

    Where did I say that?

Wasn't the whole quote, and even one as ignorant as you knows that:

    http://www.msnbc.com/the-last-word/watch/elections-have-consequences-44119619889

As to the rest of your right wing ignorance, it only deserves to be ignored.
