As i watched this interview i was struck by how different MLK was from the so called leaders of today. Listen to him talk - calm, intelligent, cultured, non-confrontational, unifying.

Have any of today’s black leaders learned anything from MLk? Today’s leaders like Al sharpton, colin kaepernick are hateful, confrontational, divisive and do not articulate their positions with any semblance to the way MLK intelligently and aptly articulated his.

Today’s leaders are frauds, they are essentially racists who project and seek race wars, benefiting from the perception of racism. I regret even mentioning their names in the same post, they are not even worthy of their names being uttered in same breathe as MLK.

The difference between the race pimps and MLK is that he wanted change, worked for it and got it done. These so called leaders want to perpetuate black victimhood and poverty and use it as their banner to to keep their lucrative media gigs going. Obama didn't do a thing for black Americans except convince them that racism was rampant and the reason for their struggles but happily accepted the millions of white votes. White votes that put him in the White House where he grew a massive fortune making him the Race Pimp in Chief.

the black community is in dire need of a real leader and not a race pimp. No-one out there is even in the same universe as MLK, they are all a disgrace.

Reality is that these race pimps seek to benefit from race baiting. What has Al Sharpton done for blacks? NOTHING, but he has done a lot for himself by fooling blacks into believing whites are the enemy and he is their savior. He's a fraud... MLK actually did a lot for blacks and he did it the right way.

There were people who absolutely hated Rev. Martin Luther King during his lifetime. These people laughed when he was assassinated.
Forty years from now perhaps people will look back on Rev. Al Sharpton with admiration.
I guess leaders become more tolerable to some folks after they are deceased.

Would you want better race relationships if you knew that it would be the "death knell" of your political party? Democrats need victimhood and divisiveness because it is a "cottage industry" for them. They really don't want "all are created equal". They really don't want a colorblind society. They really don't want gender equality. They really don't want religious tolerance. I had to laugh when for months they were touting the greatness of diversity in the nomination of the candidates running for President and now are complaining about the lack of diversity among those still left in the race. They rejected every black candidate and then call Trump a racist . What's that biblical saying "remove the log from your own eye"?

Haven't heard Sharpton in quite a long time.

Kaepernick? He's a freaking football player! One who exercised his 1st Amendment right, but apparently only white people can do that.

    Pssst.....your bigotry is showing.

Tell me how this post disproves that assertion?

And who are you to "approve" of who people of color listen to as their cultural and political leaders?

You voted for Trump. Enough said.

you mean like people who hate Trump? After he’s gone, they will think to themselves ‘man, he was a great president!!’

let me correct you on your very flawed logic. Yes, some hated MLK but he was intelligent, cultured, spoke beautifully and most importantly, actually did A LOT for black people.

Al sharpton hasn’t done a darn thing but benefit himself and he speaks and acts like a con man, he is a race pimp and 50 years from now, no-one will look back at him and point to anything good he did. This is the difference between him and MLK, people remember MLK for what he did for others, not just himself and there is plenty there, his contributions were massive. Al has just race baited and even once guilty of fabricating hate crimes, he will be remembered alongside jussie smollette in the categories of - frauds, false prophets, wanna be heroes, con-men.

correction - kaepernick is a bigot and racist, he hates white people. He doesn’t know what he says half the time he speaks, like even defending a terrorist because he wasn’t white. Kaepernick is exhibit A of a racist who projects onto others. If a black kills another black, he doesn’t care. If a white person gets killed, he doesn’t care. If a terrorist, horrible murdering non-white man gets killed, he cares.

he talks about the ‘terror’ against black men, let’s talk. In 2018, 2,900 blacks were murdered, 2,600 of them by other blacks. This is REAL terror - blacks terrorizing other blacks every day. MLK would speak about this and discuss solutions, Kaeper doesn’t care.. he’a just looking for the next white man to attack. Yeah, evidence is clear.. kaeper is racist and a fraud.

I'm not into football, so I don't hang onto every word of a player with the same level of vitriol that you do. That would be like me making statements based on what a WWF wrestler says and then make blanket statements about white people. My brain just doesn't work that way to make such stuff bigger than it really us, but your post says more about YOU than it does about Kaepernick.

your ad hominem attacks say a lot about you, actually. You can't take the heat that comes with the truth and then start spitting on people instead of trying to refute the arguments at hand. You are projecting onto others, acting in the very same way you accuse others of acting.

You defend people like Kaepernick, Jussie Smollette, blatant racists who never really talk about the real issues facing black people and instead turn every issue into war on whites. Again, 2600 of 2900 blacks murdered in 2018 were at the hands of blacks and i NEVER hear Jussie, Al or Kaeper utter a word about it. What is that? not an important issue? The black community really needs a strong leader who brings all issues to the forefront and not only racism that results in white people bashing. These leaders are actually detrimental to progress of equality as they suppress truths and divert from real issues to perceived issues of racism, everywhere and anywhere.

what will be your come back now? Typically it's the same you all have in your toolkit - attack personally and tell others they can't talk if they are not black. This is quite a lazy way to debate a topic and usually, gets you to the losing side quickly.

    let's talk facts and stats.

First of all, twice as many whites are killed by cops, surprised? ah, media doesn't cover it. Secondly, many of the blacks who are killed by cops are killed by black and latino cops, not all of the cops are whites (race is not the issue!). Third, there are thousands of police incidents a year and very rarely is a black man killed for doing nothing and being unarmed. What is not mentioned is the thousands of times there are incidents where cops don't shoot, even when they confront violent people, cops get no credit for it.

So where is the racism when twice as many whites are killed by cops vs blacks killed by cops and when many of the blacks killed are killed by non-white cops? and where is the racism when there are literally thousands of confrontations where cops actually show restrain and don't shoot. WHERE IS THE RACISM? It's' all a LIE... white cops are not just running around only killing unarmed black men! LIES LIES LIES!

Lastly, let me ask you a question. In 2019, 2,600 blacks were killed by other blacks. You know how many blacks were killed by cops? 200. Why do we keep hearing about the 200 lives but not the 2,600? Are those 200 lives > 2,600 lives and what about the 300+ whites killed by cops? So we don't care about the 300+ whites killed by cops and neither do we care about the 2,600 blacks killed by blacks...we only care about the 200? and of those 200, many weren't killed by white cops but cops of minority race. So... i ask... who's really got it wrong?

    What up doe, Moriah?!

You're absolutely right. A few decades from now people will be praising Sharpton and assailing some other schlup. You won't be able to remind them how much they despised him.

projection, they are the party of projecting.

What you point to is at the crux of the matter.. The left and all these false prophets benefit from the perception of racism. You know, it's interesting. The people who benefit the MOST from perceived racism are are BY FAR the left, MSM media so it's them who want to keep it ALIVE and well. Racism = TV ratings for MSM, this is why they don't cover the thousands of blacks killed by other blacks or the whites killed by cops (twice as many as blacks) but they give blacks killed by white cops A LOT OF attention. The democrats have crappy policies like open borders, high taxes, take your guns away so they THRIVE on racism and identity politics, it's their #1 politician weapon. Deep inside, it's the left that doesn't want racism to go away, why? they have weaponized divisions along lines of race gender, economic status, religious beliefs, age and they will not give up their main weapon! it's all about attaining power...

for doing what? what has he done aside from supporting a fabricated hate crime, just as Jussie did. (look up Tawana Brawely).

The man has been a race pimp con-man for decades.
