    MOD WARNING!!!

Should high school students walk out and shut the system down until meaningful gun reform happens?

I remember when Nixon invaded Cambodia, I told my granddad the students in college will shut down the system; they will do more than that and people will die. He said that would never happen. And . . . all hell broke lose on 2000 college campuses.

    Vote and tell us why?

JUST IN: Nationwide School Walkout Announced For Next Week; NRA Put On Notice
    Holly Lee - February 17, 2018
    http://bipartisanreports.com/2018/0...ut-announced-for-next-week-nra-put-on-notice/

After a deadly mass shooting that left 17 families shattered in Parkland, Florida, calls are being made across the nation by the American people for the US government to intervene to do something to address the trend. Hell, anything other than offering thoughts and prayers would be great at this point.

I'm real tempted to say "no". But the answer is yes.

    Homeschooling FTW.

Yes, and I would support it because educating Marxists is just a waste of time and vital resources anyway.

Not unless they can all agree on a specific set of realistic policies they're campaigning for. Protesting for "something to be done" is just lazy, clearly acknowledging that it's a difficult (if not impossible) issue but not offering anything to address it.

Why? Because, just like when Nixon invaded Cambodia, it's about protecting their own lives.

Republicans will have none of that! They are a powerful group that will fight tooth and nail for the right of the mentally ill to shoot them. If kids don't take action themselves... who will do it for them?

I support their right to exercise their Constitutional right to protest as long as it is peaceful. It would be helpful and show commitment if the students vote online fir the top 5 fixes for Congress to bite into. The can do that online since they like Fache Bokk and Insta Gram and all of that stuff.

You should not equate this with the idiocy that happened as a result of Tricky Dicky Nixon 's inclusion into Cambodia.

High school students are just a bunch of pimple-faced children who's brains have not reached full maturity. All you have to do is listen to them speak or watch their actions. We should not led children dictate anything to adults. How do I know this -- I was once a pimple-faced child attending high school. I didn't know squat.

They're free to cut as many classes as they want, I guess. I doubt it'll help their GPAs, but that's not my problem.

Besides, students refusing to go to school is like prisoners going on a hunger strike. Sorry, but I'm just not capable of caring.

Agreed. I still don't know why 18 year olds vote. The brain isn't fully formed until 25.

Why vote when you give us moronic choices to choose from?

    Only one makes any sense.

    Obviously.

When we speak of Voter fraud, first thing Democrats tell us is hell no, there was no voter fraud. Today they want us to accept that there was voter fraud. How can it be both ways?

Any teacher who walks off the job should be fired. Any student who fails to attend school should receive a grade of zero for any test on that day. It is that simple.

I was in the latter group who had to wait to vote until I was 21. I forget why one would argue the 18 year old child is a good voter. Too many never finished high school. I was a good science student and yet at 18 did not care much about politics. It took me until close to 21 to wake up and vote. I then voted for Democrats only. I sadly spent too much time voting for Democrats. I voted Democratic party for 21 more years. When I woke up, it was like a light turned on.

Tricky Dick whom I then hated with the fury of today's Democrats was very correct to attack the Vietnamese where they were. When they went to Cambodia, so did Nixon. Johnson never attacked the North as Eisenhower or MacArthur nor Patton would have.

The best offense is a good defense.

Who's to say that this nothingburger wasn't a creation of the Republican party or even Trump?

Throw it out there, distance yourself from it, and let the lib/progs run in circles trying to figure out what either can't be explained or pinned on anyone of record.

And the eventual outcome is showing that "voter fraud" actually does exist...if only in the minds of the lib/progs.

    Well played Conservatives and/or Trump!

If by meaningful reform you mean responsible adults armed within the school...
