When it comes to issues I tend to be pragmatic. I have alot of disdain for ideology because it leads to irrationality. A great example is feminism.

Feminism has went from moving women forward in social evolution to just a dead end movement that does not have much benefit.

I want to see women have the same opportunities as men because it benefits society. Giving women the same opportunities just means we will have a bigger pool of people that can become doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc... That means we can get the best.

Modern feminism has morphed into a movement that seems to coddle women. I do not see this as a good thing. Women do have the same opportunities these days so where are all the female innovators?

A man was the first human to step on ths moon. Is there a mission to Mars planned where the first human there would be a woman?

Where are the platoons of women fighting for freedom?

It seems women are just doing what men are already doing....well kind of. If women are truly equal then why are they holding back?

Is there a couple of sisters somewhere working on an invention that will impact humanity like when the Wright Brothers invented the airplane?

Today's feminism is too much about coddling women and telling them how special they are. Could it be that this is hurting society rather than helping?

Perhaps it is time women are told to stop wallowing in victimhood and start putting their money where their mouth is.

Feminism has been a con game since day one. Women have not been oppressed. At one time their position in society was where they wanted to be. When society changed they wanted to change their place. Nothing wrong with that but to play the victim has not worked for society in a while.

Nowadays many women just wallow in victimhood and self pity.

I guess women not being allowed to vote wasn’t oppression LOL when you can’t vote you are a victim of patriarchy. When you can’t go to Harvard and the best networking universities...you’re being denied equality. When you can’t get a credit card in your own name once you marry, you are oppressed. There is nothing wrong with the word victim. If women are sexually assaulted or raped are they not “victims”? When women are denied equal pay for equal work, it is not oppression? I think what you are angry about is the fact that the suffragettes fought for the right to vote and the second wave of feminists made all these changes for women. Women are gaining power and it must be threatening.

So are women allowed to vote now? Are they allowed into Harvard?

Yes they are. When was the bloody war that women fought to gain those things? Oh yeah, there wasn't one.

    Women were given these things.

I wonder if women are tired of wallowing in victimhood? I guess it is a convenient way to blame being a loser on something else. Some women are not losers and seem to not play the victim as much.

Neither could most of the men.

And why is voting such a huge issue anyways? I would argue voting is oppression.

    It is 2019, sister.

The previous certainly are and it is rather disgusting you use their innocence and suffering to make a political point. However, being a part-time waitress who earns less than a full-time engineer is not oppression.

It is time we asked the question if the feminist movement is good for society. There is nothing wrong with trying to improve society but there comes a time when these movements become toxic. Feminism is looking at toxic in the rear view mirror.

Time to start telling women to drop the victimhood routine.

I would say that the feminist movement these days has become misogynistic. Because they insist that there's a patriarchy and thus they beittle any woman who has achieved anything.

You seem to be trying to fit women into a preconceived little box. All women think "A" because of "B". Their reasons for doing things are as varied as complex as men. Does every woman think going to Mars is the badge of success? Does every male go to the Moon? Are you failed male because you didn't go?

I can agree with this to some extent it isn't women that wallow in victimhood it is feminists. they have gone as far as to create new things to be victims of. Things like fat shaming, manspreading microaggression pink tax and so forth.

I agree there are women who don't fall into this wallow it's feminists.

You need to re-read the OP. I am referring to feminism not "all women" as you describe.

Gather your thoughts after you have read the OP and get back to us.
