...he's "excited to be a part" of where the GOP is headed and lauded the caliber of the other members of his freshman class of Republican representatives.

"We're already seeing our freshman class being just bursting at the seams with females, minorities and veterans," Moore said of the group that's been hailed as a triumph of candidate recruitment. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., dubbed 2020 "the year of Republican women."

Rep.-elect Blake Moore told Fox News he's "excited" for the future of the GOP. (Blake Moore)

Earlier this year, Republicans were crowing about their new class of candidates, including Rep. Mike Garcia, R-Calif., Rep.-elect Maria Salazar, R-Fla., and Rep-elect Mary Miller, R-Ill. Nevertheless, many predicted a bloodbath for down-ballot Republicans on Election Day. Instead, the GOP picked up a slew of seats across the country and slimmed down the Democratic House majority significantly.....

The incoming GOP freshman class in the US House is very promising. Almost all populist conservatives who are pro Trumpism. The number of women, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans,African Americans in the GOP House membership is expanding greatly and a lot of the women and minority members are part of the pro free market capitalist oriented freedom force to directly take on the squad.

The GOP IS up to 212 members in the house on the way to a majority after Biden’s midterm.

I'm happy with our Choice for House rep, he said all the right things during the campaign, so I'm hopeful that he walks the walk.

Let’s see how they do. Often when the congress swings its because moderates of either party won. The danger is a more extreme primary challenge forces then to move too far left or right.

I'm excited about having more minorities in the GOP.

Not because it should matter, but because so many are so ridiculous that it does matter to them and unfortunately as a pragmatist you have to appeal to these people to if you want to win. And hopefully, as the brainwashing of "the right is for white" wears off, alot more people will realize that conservatives represent the values of far more than we have voters.

Trumpism is not conservative. Economically, there is a lot of socialism mixed in with some socially conservative values. Hence the Lincoln Project.

It’s good to know some in the gop are throwing trump’s demagoguery under the bus where it belongs.
So-called trumpism is nothing more than racist, divisive, seditious demagoguery.
If the repubs start appealing to the decent part of society instead of pandering to trump’s cult, they will attract a lot of people.
Anyone who keeps parroting trump’s bullshit will become as discredited as the orange dotard has been.

Midterms almost always go against the party in power, especially the house.

The average swing is less then the lead the democrats have.

That loss in the election really Hurt them.

If they do lose the house it won't matter that Biden won.

True. Its individualist and voluntaryist. Something the true socialists would do well to keep in mind as they seek support, and something the neoliberal establishmentarianists will never accept because deep down they're global authoritarians.

Just shows that even if the leader of a party is a vile and despicable excuse for a human being he managed to paint the Democrats as a Party with the stench of BLM and AOC. I warned the Democrats that every broken window every fire every water bottle thrown at the police and every time an AOC or BLM idiot farted out the " defend the police" 10,000 votes were lost by the Dems.

The other factor is race and fear of immigration and of illegals taking the jobs away from White working class jamokes. White working class and Whites in general know that us Whites are doomed to be a minority in 20 years or less. Trump being a Schiety developer but a good marketing gebonee targeted Whites especially White working class with fear mondering. The dumbest of his fans do not even realize that illegals are not taking away their job and illegals are doing jobs that is "beneath" your average American worker. Does anyone really believe that the gebonees wearing their Chinese made MAGA hats at Donnie's rallies have a life time ambition to pick peas, tomatoes, and broccoli.

Fox "news" sold the Trump gebonees the big lie that illegals vote and that they get SS, Veterans Benefits, phones, cars, and all expense paid vacations to Hawaii twice a year.

Those are the main reasons the down ticket GOP candidates did well and if the hapless Democrats let it "look like " AOC and BLM are the tails that wag the dog the Dems will lose in 2022.

It was Trump led the GOP outreach to minority communities. It was Trumps populist shift to caring about the working and middle class instead of the rich and his concern for economic opportunities and religious liberty that is expanding the party.

Well if we lose the senate they can do a lot of damage before we retake the house just like 2009-10. If we keep the senate then Biden will govern by executive order.

Losing the black vote by 76 points does not indicate any outreach to minority communities, nor do tax cuts for the wealthy indicate any caring for working people. Time for a new prescription of those rose colored glasses.

Am I missing something? Or am I just being cranky? But didn't we see a lot of backlash when the left was congratulating itself for the massive representation of women and minorities?

I agree with most of your post but the immigrant part is wrong.

They don't just work in fields picking strawberries, they dominate the workforce here in Arizona.

You essentially can't work any type of construction if you don't speak Spanish, good manufacturing jobs have been filled with them, if you enjoy the culinary arts you won't find a decent kitchen to work in unless you speak Spanish, most ordinary office type jobs require you speak Spanish.

And even if you do speak Spanish if you aren't one of them they will seriously and blatantly discriminate you and/or sabotage you.

I have seen this over and over as I work with lots of different businesses.

Question on the alleged "illegals"? Are you sure that illegals dominate the office job force? I will accept ( I did not say that I like or agree with) the fact that construction Day worker jobs are taken by illegals but those are the grunt jobs. So this being true that means that employers are violating the law. Why are there no protests and law suits and most importently the DOJ charging those employers with crimes?

What is the percent of the Arizona population whose primary language is Spanish? What percent of primary Spanish speakers are immigrants? When I say immigrants I mean legal immigrants.

The Southwest was initially colonized by the Spanish as in Europeans.
Is there any fix on what percent of your population can trace lineage back to Spanish colonists? Of course Mexico colonized and owned Arizona until we acquired it so I am sure that Mexicans lived in Arizona way before Arizona became a wholly owned subsidiary of the US.

BTW there is another thing that I did agree with the Trumpocity and that is getting a fix ( in the census) of who is a citizen or not.

Now I understand the fear and hatred of immigrants ( real immigrants). I know I mentioned before that I am an immigrant. I remember well that my parents had been descriminated against due to being immigrants and the dead give away was that they spoke English with an accent. I was very young when we got here so I have passed for "an American".

I told his story before but when I was kindergarten age I was ridding my first two wheel bike along the sidewalk and this woman came across the street from one of those hoses converted to a church " and she came up to me and while holding her Bible she told me that ' I needed to go back to where I came from and that "you DPs" just come here to steal "our jobs and rents". She added other accusations. I drove home to tell my mom that what the "lady" yelled at me about. My mom said that the woman was just a Baptist and Baptists do not like "us.Catholics".
It had nothing to do with religion but to this day I do not like or trust Baptists. When I got older and reminded my parents of that incident they explained to me that she just was a hateful woman who hated immigrants and was afraid of us.

Reason for my story is that I have lived both sides of the immigrant issue.

I and our daughter have been descriminated against for being White. She when she applied to college and our family was descriminated against for scholarships financial aid and tuition. Her college roommate being Black got a free ride everything paid for while my daughter and us had to get student loans to cover the minor amount of her scholarships. Yes it was a private Catholic college therefore they could not spare anymore money for scholarships because the Pope was is dire need of more golden rings and precious stones and gay looking robes and needed a new Pope mobile.

I also had been discriminated against for being White and after the insurance industry laid off thousands and thousands of workers being White living in a White suburb and having "too much" education I did not qualify for retraining funds. The state guy who I had to talk to about my application just about laughed as he told me that I did not qualify because I was "too educated." If I was Black I would have got it especially if I was Black and lived in the city where I grew up but escaped from to get away from the crime.

    Great questions.

When I said office jobs I should have specified work that deals with the general public, especially state and local government positions.

The construction jobs are not grunt jobs, they are well paying jobs especially if you work for the government and the department of transportation. They didn't get them because Americans didn't want them they got them through preferential hiring practices and have forced non-Latinos out.

The amount of Spanish speakers above age 5 is 20%, only California and Texas are slightly higher but that number is extreme considering our size.

Leagal latinos number right about a million with an estimated 3 million more illegals.

Considering we only have seven million for our population you see the problem.

On top of this, Arizona is the top entry point for illegals which means those in other states went there via Arizona and most probably didn't move right away.

All of the west was purchased from Mexico so of course they were prominent here, that is not disputed. What is disputed is there recent climb in percentage of population in addition to their activism in changing the state more to their culture and pushing Americanization out. That has never happened in the past and in many places they are now gaining positions in elected government but not as American-Latinos but as full fledged Latinos with no connection to America.

Overall it is not any fear of immigrants, they are fine and I am sure there are lots of wonderful stories in there but this is about a general trend taking place in the United States that threatens American culture and it is literally a hostile takeover through invasion.

It's the exact same thing that has happened to Europe multiple times in the past when the Muslims migrated into that area and were ultimately forcefully removed. It isn't even intentional but it is certainly happening and the left not only support it but want to make it easier for them.

This is what we Trumpers are fighting against.

Sadly Trump has done nothing about illegal immigration. Thatbwall os not going to do it.

I will take your word that Latinos in public office have no connection to America. They should not be in office. Muslims did not just migrate into Europe they invaded. The Moors held major parts of Spain, Portugal, and had threatened Southern France until they were defeated. The Muslim Turks took over the part of Greece where Constantanople is ( now Ist bull) and later the Ottoman Empire conquered the Balkans and infested little countries such as Bosnia , Albania, and parts of Croatia, and Bulgaria. The Ottomans were kicked out just before WWI but left Turkish Hybrids and Muslim Bosnians, Croatians, and Albanians.

There was a point in history that the Muslims got as far as the gates of Vienna as were stopped by Central and Easter European allies who came to the aid of Austria.

Muslims were not the poor victims they they try to make us think.

While this might bring in more members to the party, conservatism isn't about race, gender, religion, or any of that other nonsense, it's about American values. If all the people the GOP wants to bring into the party believe in America first, then I welcome them with open arms because I don't want any open borders race baiters who hate America to be in charge of the country. That means progressives like AOC, racists like Omar and Waters, and idiots like Pelosi need not apply.

The wall was simply a part of an overall immigration policy that certainly would have worked had it been implemented but since it never was then obviously immigration never got tackled. It would take far more then just 4 years anyways but it was a solid plan.

Thank you for the European history on the invasion, Europe isn't my strong suit but I knew it was along those lines.

And no, Muslims have proven to be quite formidable at times however I will always hate them for inventing algebra.

You've no idea how much suffering that has caused me.

Diversity only for diversity's sake is stupid and I hope the Republicans don't follow the Democrats down that path.

Democrats actually believe these people are just migrant farmers. They are also working at poultry and cattle ranches for the subcontractors of companies like Tyson and JBL, and every other industry where large corporations can subtract to employers that can pay illegals an amount way below the standard of living for the middle class American. In fact, I've managed construction jobs for multi-million dollar multifamily housing projects (new developments or remodels of hundreds to thousands of Apt. units) for several years, and we would always lose bids due to labor costs cause our company and our subcontractors pay their workers a living wage. My company hired thousands of crews across the United States. Since these contractors were priced out of the game, they either gave up on the business, hired illegal immigrants, or limited their services to repair work. In aggregate from all the electricians, plumbers, HVAC, demolition, etc., contractors I've talked to over the years, their companies had to cut thousands of American workers.

The employers that can't get cheap labor for higher level jobs will either get a work Visa for someone from India, or they'll just move operations overseas.
