Forcing a woman to gestate puts undue burden on her. Perhaps in 2120, most fetuses would be gestated artificially.

The same could be said about Slavery, or the Holocaust, of course.

Roman gladiatorial matches to the death in the Colosseum, or Pharaoh's slaughter of Israelite babies.

Do I need to go on?

American Slavery and Holocaust were far beyond what Humankind could tolerate.

There were many minor genocides in History of Humankind. Even now, many people in USA view US conduct in Korea 1950-53 and Southeast Asia 1965-75 as justified.

Is it "undue" ? According to who?

The Supreme Court? 2 of those judges even disagreed with the decision.

Oh, so it's a matter of degree how wrong it is.

    Of course it did !!!

Here we go again with you denying that the Holocaust didn't cause chaos with Jews and slavery didn't cause chaos in the lives of slaves...both asinine statements..

Don't you view Jews and blacks as part of society !!!?????

I wonder what would happen if you had taken a poll in Sodom and Gomorrah.

American Slavery, and much more so the Holocaust were far beyond many genocides which were a part of History.

Even though USA committed genocides against civilians in Korea, and Southeast Asia, these wars were part of Historic Necessity.

Oh, so you're comparing Abortion to "necessary wars".

That's an interesting line of thought...

Is the woman "fighting for her freedom" for 9 months of not having to be pregnant?
    Sounds very noble...

If you wanted a serious discussion on the moral and ethic side based on religious, perhaps the religious and philosophy forum would have been better.
In the abortion forum, expect a lot more of the legal discussions to take place.

Does judging someone make one feel better about themselves? I don't see how judging accomplishes anything. Except maybe resent.

Killing certainly does. Murder is a legal construct on what to do with one who has killed.

Punishing after the fact isn't protecting the person. The act has already been committed.

The Will of SuperMajority is the Law. No Democracy can pass a law against the will of 65% or more majority.

Laws can not regulate most sins, but people can point out their moral judgement on the issues.

Yes it is, it's creating a disincentive.

Only those who have been born -- I believe children should be protected against abuse.

Forbidding abortion is similar to forbidding other sins. Should Richard Dawkins be punished for his propaganda of Atheism? Should Israel criminalize eating pork?

    Should Religious Wars return?

Would you say this about vigilantes who took punishment of these women into their own hands? No, you wouldn't.
    Why the inconsistency there?

But then that goes entirely back to the argument of why born are treated differently from unborn.
Which we will not do in this thread.

I am 100% against Antifa who are violent to those guilty of Political Incorrectness.

Sadly, some Conservatives would have been as keen on imposing their values on others. Fortunately they are not that powerful.

Some people in India consider cows to be holy animals. There are many vigilante attacks on Muslims who slaughter cows.

Only the SuperMajority can set the Laws for Society.
