Pray tell how is that the fault of those who own firearms legally? Are they at fault if their personal property is stolen? Do we now blame the victim for being victimized?

Beyond the fact that these other nations, supposedly developed nations, have been regulating every single aspect pertaining to firearms for far longer than the united states has even existed?

 

First, there are already federal laws regulating the acquisition of firearms by everyone. Prohibitions on convicted felons possessing firearms are not local but rather federal, and applies everywhere.

Second, a person legally residing in one state cannot legally acquire firearms in a state they are not a resident of, unless they go through a federally licensed firearms dealer, and the firearm is shipped back to another federally licensed dealer in the state in which the individual legally resides. Even if they purchase from a private individual, it is still a felony offense, as such is regulated through interstate commerce.

 

I know. I was just giving a hard time to the Trumpbots who blamed Obama for everything that went wrong anywhere in the world for 8 years...

Well, he came out of nowhere and won pretty big twice in national elections, then left with very high approval ratings. I would say that is a lot more than mediocre as far as politics go...That said, Trump won against huge odds in both the primaries and in the general. His victory was amazing even if it turns out that the Russians helped him a little. He beat several seasoned politicians in the primary, then beat a huge political machine who outspent him 2/1 in November. If he wins in 2020 and finishes his second term, he will be considered as a phenomenal politician. Even if he loses in 2020, in my book he will be considered much more than mediocre as a politician.

 

So obama is doing pretty much what he did as President - touring the world, going on vacation, playing golf, all on the publics dime.

 

So is Trump, except he is playing more golf and getting in petty pushing contests with cable news jocks too.

Just FYI, the Chicago bangers are up +7 in the homicide department over last year's 20+ year record for murders.
