    Even if true, that's in the past. You really want to compare this with the loooong racist history of the Democrats, the party of the Confederacy, the KKK, and segregation?

    No, the intent of my comment was to illustrate why the switch in the parties in the N and S came about and how racist was at the basis for the GOP winning more southern votes.

    But it's well known that inside every liberal there's a totalitarian screaming to get out.

    It is estimated there are only 300 Nazis (Nationalist Socialist) in the United States today.

    Neo-Nazis are not real Nazis (Nationalist Socialist)

    The OP failed to notice the sarcasm in my previous post that we'd have dealt harshly with these hooligans in an earlier time.

    the statutes are mostly monuments to Jim Crow and propaganda for the Lost Cause bs. Battlefield natl parks are something different. And so are statues commemorating the union.
