    How far did the T model ford travel on a tank of gas?

    This is not about comparing mobile phones to wind up phones this is about changing how things are done. Does someone living in Singapore need a car that can ravel 200 K or do they need a car that can commute around a big city?

    I live in outback Australia and our taxis are hybrids - admittedly not all of them but a fair number...

    Why did Henry Ford OVERPAY his workers?

    What happened when he did that?

    Did Ford collapse because he overpaid his workers?

    Glass Steagal had nothing to do with the financial crisis. Mortgage lending standards were reduced to accommodate federal low income mortgage loan rates of Fannie and Freddie. Explain how Glass Steagal caused the financial crisis.

    Utterly irrelevant WHEN he did it because the same lesson still applies TODAY!

    He paid for efficiency and ended up selling more vehicles which resulted in greater profits.

    If corporations aren't willing to pay living wages they won't have efficient workers and won't have them buying their products either.

    Henry Ford was RIGHT, paying higher wages WORKS for EVERYONE!

    Every REPUTABLE and CREDIBLE source identifies the DEREGULATION of Glass-Steagall as a major factor in the Republican 2008 economic collapse.

    Never heard of the GOP union busting "right to work" laws that have been enacted in red states all across the nation?

    Now the GOP is trying to push that at a federal level.

    Because after training them so they could keep the line going they left for other jobs especially seasonal work, the training was costly and had made them more valuable.

    BTW it is a myth he did so so that they could then purchase his automobiles.

    He wouldn't have done it if he hadn't needed to and it had nothing to do with a "living wage" he was in competition with other companies and he needed a trained workforce to survive. He increased the value of his employees to him by training them and paid them a higher wage to keep them on the job.
