I've never had iced coffee, but I did have some cold brewed stuff. It's just not the same. Smooth, but the flavors are muted. Instant coffee?? I take it you're not a coffee snob. I'm a total snob. Got started years ago when I had some that had a bit of an orange flavor. I found that some of those African coffees have a good bit of fruitiness, but it's all but impossible to find places that serve that kind of coffee. I don't remember how I got started, but I buy big bags and roast my own. Got two roasters, but both are just for home roasting and can't do the magic that some of the more expensive ones do. It is an art.
