Since the old thread reached its post limit, it's time to start a new thread which reveals the TRUTH about Obamacare success.

As usual, it will be met with attacks and criticism from the far right but none of these critics will be able to post anything that will refute the TRUTH in any way.

They say karma is a b*tch.

    Here is some proof:

Uninsured wing-nut, anti-Obamacare ex-sheriff raising money for medical bills

    http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/...-sheriff-raising-money-for-medical-nbsp-bills

    Ah, life.
Former Arizona county sheriff Richard Mack, a fierce opponent of Obamacare and a leader in the "constitutional sheriff" movement, is struggling to pay his medical bills after he and his wife each faced serious illnesses. The former sheriff and his wife do not have health insurance and started a GoFundMe campaign to solicit donations from family and friends to cover the costs of their medical care. […]
"The States do not have to take or support or pay for Obamacare or anything else from Washington DC. The States are not subject to federal direction," he wrote on his website, outlining how state governments can block President Obama.

That was Mack then. This is Mack now.
"Since it appears that recovery will take a good deal of time with associated expenses, I struggle to not feel stress—both the stress of thinking about huge hospital and other medical bills as well as regular living expenses while I am unable to work—and also the stress of not being able to accomplish what I am so passionate about doing for others," Mack wrote in a note on his GoFundMe page. "It is difficult and humbling to say that we need your help, but we do."
Because I am a human being, I hope that Mack and his wife recover. Hell, I even hope they find enough like-minded people willing to spend their own money to help them in their time of great need. Because being a human being should mean believing that we should help one another. One way of doing that, I'd gently point out to Mack, is to join with the rest of society in buying health insurance, which creates great big pools of people paying into a system that takes care of everyone.
It's fine if Mack wants to skip that whole insurance thing, and it's fine if his followers help it him out now. It's not fine that Mack wants everyone else in the country to be put in the same untenable, horrible, crippling situation of having both poor health and overwhelming medical bills. It would be nice to think that this foray in the real world might change Mack's mind about Obamacare, but I'm not holding my breath.

I do hope he will have a full recovery. Luckily he has the luxury of using the influence he got from being in public office to get some help. But most uninsured people do not have such influence or backup. Those who suffer from lack of health care should not be forced to go into bankruptcy or die due to lack of care. His experience could have been far better if his state had ACA.

Let's hope he will change his mind and enjoy better health.

As do all Federal Employees. And, "Poor People" can qualify for Medicaid and other State Welfare programs. Unfortunately far to often the " poor people" learn how to play the system. Many Medicaid patients drive up to my office in more expensive new model cars than the Doctor and his staff drive, wearing abundant Gold jewelry, designer clothing. Doesn't pass the smell test. Yet many others actually need the help. Those that abuse the system take services from those that actually need services. Lack of do diligence qualifying applicants for these programs ends in "waste" and "fraud

Zip Code With Most Obamacare Beneficiaries Votes Republican!

    http://www.cnn.com/2015/03/06/politics/obamacare-enrollments-florida-repubican/

Just a few miles outside of Miami, the streets of Hialeah are lined with strip malls, fast-food joints, car dealerships, and in recent months, lots of Obamacare enrollment centers.

That is part of the reason why the so-called "City of Progress" is the home to two of the five zip codes with the most Obamacare sign-ups in the country. Topping the list is zip code 33012, which, according to the Department of Health & Human Services' latest figures, saw more than 12,000 enrollments - leading the nation's zip codes, by far.

But here's the catch: This section of Hialeah is predominantly Republican.

In the last presidential election, which was dominated with rhetoric about the Affordable Care Act, this community voted roughly 58% to 42% in favor of Mitt Romney. It's a red island in a sea of blue, when you take into account that surrounding Miami-Dade County has gone for a Democratic presidential nominee in every election since 1992.

While the national party still lists repealing the health law and replacing it with an alternative, in Hialeah, the business of Obamacare is booming.

"It wasn't surprising to me," said Republican state senator Rene Garcia, who represents the 33012 area. "For many years, we've had one of the highest uninsured rates in Miami-Dade County. By the implementation of the ACA, it's given them the opportunity to go out and purchase insurance." According to the U.S. Census Bureau, almost half of the city's population was uninsured, before Obamacare went into effect.

Add to that two striking economic figures: 24.5% of resident live below the poverty line and ther is a $14,321 per capita income. The result, Sen. Garcia said, "it's not a Republican or Democrat issue. It's just the reality. And, the realities are that now they can afford health insurance for their families. And they've gone out and done it."

The intense marketing for the Affordable Care Act has also driven enrollment.

"Last year, you saw a few signs here and there. But, if you go around this time, you see a bunch of Obamacare signs: on bus-stops, on buildings, across the entire region," said Nick Duran, Florida director for Enroll America, a left-leaning nonprofit organization, which promotes health coverage around the country.

On the other side of the political spectrum, Republicans agree, the promotions worked. "They've done a good job of getting the word out," Sen. Garcia said.

In addition, Florida saw a huge jump in opportunities for people to sign-up during the open enrollment period, which ended in February.

"We got a report from (insurance) carriers saying there were about 100 enrollment centers in all of Florida last year. I believe, this year, it's 4,200. I've seen shoe stores that have Obamacare enrollment centers," said Ammer Cabrera, who runs Sunshine Life and Health Advisors. The demand was so high during the enrollment period, his agency opened two offices in the same shopping mall, just a couple hundred feet away from each other.

"I think a lot of people didn't understand what Obamacare was," said Cabrera. Now, they do. And, not just in 33012. Nationwide, the federal government reported more than 11.4 million sign-ups, as of the mid-February deadline - a big jump from the program's first enrollment period last year.

Republicans bite the hand that feeds them.

Considering it would cost me $300 a month and a $14,000 deductible for just my wife and I, and I absolutely can't afford to pay that even when i made $15 an hour, how did it help the poor? Or help anybody really? My wife was recently diagnosed with a life threatening lung disease and guess who's paid most of the bills? A generous private pharmacy that gives away $8000 a prescription medicine. Oh, and the hospital that gives her low cost treatment, was hit badly with the ACA law. We need healthcare reform but this failed to address any problems. Healthcare is still outrageously expensive, and now insurance is too. Let's be realistic, providing medicaid to everyone who can't afford private insurance is unsustainable with the way medicaid operates. Should have just gone to a single payer or public option that everyone paid into and benefited from like every other country. What we have now is a joke.

    re Grady hospital,

Thousands more who are treated at Grady would have qualified for Medicaid, but Georgia chose not to expand the health care program.

If your state expanded Medicaid the problem would have been solved. Therefore, the problem is your governor, not the ACA.

Obamacare’s projected cost falls due to lower premiums under health care law, CBO says

    Source: Washington Post

By Max Ehrenfreund March 9 at 11:56 AM

The estimated cost of President Obama's signature health care law is continuing to fall.

The Congressional Budget Office announced on Monday that the Affordable Care Act will cost $142 billion, or 11 percent, less over the next 10 years, compared to what the agency had projected in January.

The nonpartisan agency said the Affordable Care Act will cost less for two essential reasons. The first, and most significant, is that health insurance premiums are rising more slowly, and thus requires less of a government subsidy.

In addition, slightly fewer people are now expected to sign up for Medicaid and for subsidized insurance under the law's marketplaces. That's because the agency now says that more people than anticipated already had health insurance before the law took effect, and fewer companies than anticipated are canceling coverage. All in all, three million fewer people are expected to sign up for Affordable Care Act provisions by 2025.

    Propaganda, part II.

Heard this morning over 80% of Obamacare 'customers' receive subsidies. What is there for freeloaders NOT to like?

Obamacare creates a new system of winners and losers. Why would any of the losers be well disposed toward Obamacare?

How many of those work or worked for the Fortune 500 companies that have been subsidized by taxpayers for all these decades?

How many of them live in Israel whose health care program is financed 100% by American taxpayers?

The majority of Americans disapprove of Obamacare... not surprising when it's hitting them in the pocketbook.

the ability to tax also comes with the ability to destroy............too many taxes will destroy America. The moochers can't see past the end of their eyelids, and really don't care as long as they are getting a paycheck from the government.
interesting to note that unemployment is up again and the stock market is slowly slipping downward. The housing bubble is getting ready to pop again.
Who in the hell is going to pay for this once America is financially bankrupt?
BTW, has anyone seen the new monopoly money being issued from the Fed Res?

Take away the subsidy that Fortune 500 companies have gotten for decades and that number will increase drastically.

WRONG. All it means is that the plan they had was deficient.

''Individuals whose plans are canceled are eligible for special enrollment through the state health insurance exchange, Connect for Health Colorado, or through an insurance company or broker.''

ACA is giving people the same help elite Fortune 500 company employees have gotten for decades. This may hurt your sensitive feelings but it sure is good for everyone else.
