In other words, with respect to what I said in the OP, you can't defend Trump. That's usually the way it is with Trump fans. They are much like their hero, all talk and no substance.

They get by with personal insults, wise cracks, and rarely anything intelligent.

Another one who doesn't understand that an act or omission is not a crime unless it's prohibited by law. "Cooperating with the Russians" is hopelessly ambiguous in the first place, and even if you clarify it, you're still not citing any provision of law that it violates.

Please explain how you "know more about it than I do"...

And that was not an insult. You gave your interpretation of law...

Are you involved in the case?

    No?

Then your interpretation means LESS than diddly.

Defend him from what? You're like a medieval inquisitor demanding that a woman prove she's not a witch.

Make a specific allegation of a violation of a specific law, by the President himself, and we may or may not be able to defend it.

The subpoenas seeking documents, not seizing.

You are right about the damn the torpedoes part, though.

I cited a specific law and showed how an activist prosecutor might make something out of it.

    You have done nothing comparable.

The irony is that I was taking your side in that post, because you are getting trounced in this "debate" and I always feel sorry for underdogs.

Did you read the OP? If you had, you would know what you are talking about. As it is, you don't.

Progressives??? Another genius trying to support Trump.

You do know Trump is a Republican, right? In case you didn't, I am here to tell you he is Republican.

Now that we have that straightened out, there are four investigations in the Republican controlled Congress concerning Russia. There is a fifth investigation by the special prosecutor concerning Russia. His name is Mueller. Mueller's investigation is under the auspices of the Republican controlled DOJ. That stands for the Department of Justice.

    Glad I could help.

You cited a law and gave your interpretation of it...ignoring the fact that the word "solicit" is IN that law and Donnie Jr DID solicit...

Now...tell us how you "know more than me"...please

You have problems reading a simple table? You see, you follow the title at the top, down to the same line where there is a name. So what you read where they intersect, that's where you...

Ahh. That might be too complicated for you, so I just updated it. Now the "Crimes or High Crimes and Misdemeanors" are in blue. If you still have problem understanding, ask your 7 year old neighbor to explain to you how to read a table.

But your OP only reveals that Mueller is all but ready to throw in the towel. When you start to supoena the other guys lawyers it's a sign of desperation.

And again where are the crimes ?? Your explanations are ludicrous. Incredible.

Actually what you describe fits the Clinton Foundation to a T.

And Trump didn't so any of them.
Making a false statement is only a crime if it is under oath or most of congress would be in jail.
There is no obstruction of Justice. You've got nothing that is a crime on any of them.

Doubling down on the absurd. Ridiculous. Try reading a bit of Dershowitz - it will help you understand the ridiculous nature of that table.

The progressive left is following Alinsky - repeat an absurdity often enough and they will start to believe it. It's incredible to see "intelligent" people incapable of reaching a logical conclusion.

Are you completely insane? I specifically said that I did not see that this as a problem for the President.

You're just looking for arguments, even with people on your side.

I was making a defense in that post on behalf of Trump against Trump haters. Doing so required me to set out the Trump haters' best theory. Which I then demolished

I've tried to convince myself that you are not insane, and I have failed.

It's not a table, it's a statute. And I was explaining how it does NOT reach Trump.

And my suspicions were right about you. You're crazy.

Spouting bombast does not "demolish" anything as much as you enjoyed your verbal masturbation

Donnie Jr's own e-mails clearly "solicited"...read the statute you posted

Yes, you are correct. But what state law is Mueller pursuing that the president cannot pardon for?

He can pardon NO one for state crimes. And money laundering is a state crime...which is where the investigation is proceeding...in part...

Maybe I'm missing something but I just can't see how a prosecutor can subpoena documents with client lawyer privilege attached.
