Trump is getting very dangerous. He has already made very serious mistakes, and, in some cases, correcting the situation could take years. Trump creates controversy to keep Mueller out of the conversation.

Trump has withdrawn the U.S. from the Paris Climate Accord. The Iran nuclear agreement permanently barred Iran from making a nuclear weapon. Trump withdrew the U.S. from the agreement. Trump unilaterally declared Jerusalem the capital of Israel, thereby removing the U.S. as a broker in the Mideast because the Arab nations cannot trust us while Trump is President. Russia is filling the void.

Many of his highly qualified advisors have quit or been fired. Only in the past few months, that would include the attorney general, the U.N. ambassador, the White House counsel, the Interior Secretary, Trump's chief of staff, Trump's favored replacement for chief of staff, and the Defense Secretary. Their replacements are in an acting role and most are not prepared for the position they are filling.

The most serious debacles have occurred only recently, the government shutdown and Trump's surrender in Syria. The latter cost us a very capable SecDef. For two years Trump has created controversies to take attention from his serious legal problems which Mueller is currently investigating. These problems would include collaboration with a hostile foreign power, conspiracy, and obstruction of justice.

The Trump shutdown and the Trump surrender have removed Mueller, his investigation, and Trump's alleged crimes from the front page.

The problem is, those are two very serious problems and, in some cases, Trump is making a fool of himself. He doesn't care as long as the media is concentrating on his clown act, not Mueller.

For example, he recently tweeted, "No different from my original statements, we will be leaving at a proper pace while at the same time continuing to fight ISIS and doing all else that is prudent and necessary!....." Trump is the only "commander" in the history of the world to claim his troops will continue to fight while leaving the battlefield.

We can't go on like this. It is fervently hoped that Mueller submits his report soon. Here is hoping three issues will be resolved when that happens. A) Trump will be forced to concentrate on the criminal charges; B) This will cause him to desist in creating controversies; and C) The shutdown ends immediately and our mission in Syria is fully restored absent Trump's insanity.

OTOH, is there ANYTHING Trump can do or say that will thin the ranks of his seemingly hopelessly indoctrinated followers?

As it stands right now, they would vigorously defend Trump in spite of the uncovering of Indisputable proof of HIGH TREASON on his part.

How far off the deep end will present evidence need to show that Trump has gone before a substantial majority will agree that he is unfit to be President?

As long as those of your ilk claim that Donald Trump committed "treason" there is no point in reasoning with you. For "treason" to be committed a person has to deal with an enemy of the United States. There are only two legal enemies of the United States today. North Korea and Iran.

They are walking, talking parodies. Good.

Crystal Ball says there are 60-80 million normal, middle class, taxpaying voters in this country who have completely tuned out MSM news and entertainment of all varieties, will never answer any MSM poll again or bother expressing political views in public, and will never ever vote for a Democrat again in their lives. Utter, backlash carnage coming in 2020 that will make the 2016 anomaly look tame in comparison.

Keeping all you eggs in one imaginary full of holes basket, I see.
Actually you might get some satisfaction from Mueller's report. It will have nothing from his mandate to investigate (only) Russian coordination, mind you, but it might have sufficient dirt and innuendo to get the House over its very low bar for impeachment. That should make you and others very pleased.
Do you know what a effort to overthrow a dully elected president is called? A coup d' etat. Welcome to the burning and trashing of the Constitution.

There is no constitutional provision for removing a president from power aside from failure to win reelection, impeachment and conviction, or invocation of the 25th amendment. Nothing else. Any other means would mean a gross and possibly fatal damage to the U.S. constitution.

I would also like to know the answer to that question. So far, all it has done is keep the rabid lefties awake much of the night pounding the keyboards with "this is it" "Trump is done".
Perhaps it would be more effective if they to go back dressing as vaginas and screaming at the sky. Mueller is not going to cut off his supply of taxpayer funded income.

the attempted overthrow of a dully elected president, for one. And don't come back with the whiny rationalization that the overthrow might be accomplished by what can be claimed to look like a constitutional prerogative. If impeachment was being assessed properly and constitutionally, it would not have been brought up before Trump was even president!

Mueller will submit his report as soon as he finds something.

That's why his 'investigation' into Russian collusion took a sideways turn and continues into other bizarre directions.

And why more than likely he'll still be 'investigating' in 2020...

Mueller could wrap this up yesterday. The man has either goofed off or he is not serious about trying to ruin the career of our president.

i honestly do not care whats in that report, whatever happens happens, it's all been written in stone quite some time ago...
why don't i care? because the moment meuller gave credence to social media, & subpoenaed zuckerberg, that was proof positive that the investigation is a sham...

Obama and Putin were close pals. Imagine we had tried to impeach him over his pals in the Kremlin?

The good news is, Mueller not finishing his report keeps all the phony "I am not a democrat" in a state of constant hypertension.

Stop to think. Had we appointed a special prosecutor to go after Obama over him being good buddies with Putin, do you think you would have supported that effort?

If Mueller had anything incriminating on Trump he would have already submitted his report! So far in two years he has indicted 12 Russians and indicted Manafort, Flynn and Papadopolus on charges unrelated to so called Russian collusion and spent $25 Million of taxpayers money!

The Mueller investigation is not going to be shut down because it hasn't uncovered anything and the Dems desperately wish it to continue either until it does or just to blight Trump in the 2020 election. It increasingly reminds me of a 'smoke without fire' prosecution and of the very fine TV movie Indictment based on the McMartin satanic panic of the 80s (you can catch it on YouTube). There's a great scene where the DA is asking his staff how they can continue with the investigation when their witnesses are all recanting, changing their stories or contradicting one another. And the prosecutor Mercedes Rheul says, "No, keep going, all we need is for one person to get drunk and spill their guts or one piece of child pornography to turn up, I know there's a smoking gun out there somewhere".
    The prosecution lasted 5 years!

So then what Republicans put Clinton through was a coup d' etat?

That's ridiculous on the face of it. Just think of Nixon and Clinton. The Constitution provides for impeachment, too. Your spin of it as an "overthrow" notwithstanding.

    Ok that's nuts.
