Multiple victims in shooting at Freeman High School; one student dead; suspect detained

One student was killed and three others were injured in a shooting Wednesday morning at Freeman High School south of Spokane, and the sole suspect was detained.

“The shooter is in the back seat of a patrol car right now,” Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich said at the scene, where students, parents and teachers had been corralled into school buildings after the shots rang out around 10 a.m.

Spokane Fire Chief Brian Schaeffer said three of the victims were immediately transported to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center.

At about noon, hospital officials said they had three pediatric patients from the shooting, all in stable condition, and that no other shooting victims were expected. Hospital security and local law enforcement were directing traffic in the area.

 

One dead, 3 injured. Reported 4 shots fired. No information on how the shooter got his firearm. No information on the firearm used and your takeaway is "ban assault weapons"?

What exactly do you mean by "we need gun control". What gun control can prevent a shooter from acquiring a gun that can fire four rounds and sneaking that gun into a high school?

Last time I checked farmers, ranchers, etc, were honest citizens.

 

Washington just passed a bunch of gun control didn't it? last i checked its a federal felony to shoot up a school. I guess those laws didn't work so the gun banners will use this as an excuse to harass honest people with the lie that the harassment is designed to deter people who commit federal felonies
