I have no interest in using Twitter but as an American I certainly have an interest in social media conspiring with the Federal government and political campaigns to influence the election, since so many Americans are interested.

He thinks that everyone cares about Hunter, but the truth is that only the fringe wing-nuts do. There has to be a better way to advertise Twitter to the big audience than appeasing that group.

Unfortunately, the FBI met face to face each week with Twitter. Wouldnt be surprised if they forbid any recordings of the meetings. So far its court testimony that says the FBI was warning twitter there was going to be a big dump of hacked material, like in 2016, rumored to be about Hunter. When in fact, THEY had the laptop about to be made public, KNEW that it had been given to Guiliani by the computer repair shop, not hacked, and knew the NY post was about to publish the story.
The FBI, under and during the Trump administration and under the authority of Bill Barr at the head of Justice did this. Imagine what they are capable of under a Presidential administration cheering them on like Biden. The Deep State is deep AND wide.

Not even the right wing nuts care about Hunter and are only concerned with Joe's involvement.

And he does it earning a 28% margin. Big car companies mostly lose money selling electric cars.

You should be interested in that. The political landscape in America has gone past disastrous. The problem is the government, not the social media sites in my view.

Pray tell Sir, does 'out of touch' means a platform not controlled by the Deep State and not in tune with the Globalist agenda? Inquisitive people want to know.

Can someone PLEASE tell me what kept anyone who wanted to from putting anything they wanted to on this laptop before the FBI got it? WHY is everything it says being taken as Gospel?

Tesla is good as an electric but could be better seeing how long it's been around for. The self-driving part is having problems but that's expected. The rocket works but could be better for 800 mill a launch.

The most successful thing he's done remains Paypal and that was more a matter of knowing what the market wanted and getting there "fustest with the mostest" That IS a lucrative talent, no question but he's not this wide-ranging vunderkind he's being made up to be.

I don't know about others, but I saw a lot of incriminating pictures of Hunter Biden coming from the laptop. Of course that would mean nothing since he's not in politics, but would hunter have had those contacts if his father wasn't a VP? I see treason here, but then again I saw treason with Hillary Clinton when she sent classified government documents to a private server available to citizens of a foreign State. Weiners in laws who were Saudi citizens used that apartment.

And the 'Big Guy' (pedophile) Joe was involved. Had it been one of Trumps so called 'notorious' children, (and I say it sarcastically) it would be making the headlines everyday.

    They say my eyes glaze

    like I'm in a daze,
and it's not very nice to see

And they say that I'm drugged
and my ears are all bugged
and that answers are given to me.

    Now should I expire,
    I'm sure they'll conspire
to prop me since I was their friend.

    To show I'm alive,
    and therefore contrive
    to having me run again.

Who would be the one to put stuff on the laptop?

The shop owner is the only person who had the laptop from the time Hunter dropped it off and when he gave it to the FBI. Do you think that shop owner put incriminating emails on it? Do you think he put pictures of Hunter doing drugs and engaging with hookers on it?

I think Musk drastically overestimated people's interest in Hunter. I get it he wants to sell appeal to Twitter, but this is not working. Only 18% of Twitter users are in US, and only a fringe fraction of that 18% care about Hunter.

Certainly not if success is measured in dollars. You are using some other measure

How do you measure "people's interest in Hunter"?

Observation. He thought it was going to create massive news, but people were more like "meh....."

    How do you measure it?

Of course not, we all know that computer shop owners have honesty bred in their very bones and are additionally impervious to any blandishments of money or ideology to ever alter any records they might find on their client's machinery

I suppose you're right. You'd think the son of a known pol and former board member at 80K a month would know better than to keep incriminating emails and photos on a laptop that he just blithely hands in to a computer shop and then refuses to pay for it and/or forgets it exists, and anyway isn't there this stuff called encryption nowadays? You are looking at what the news is saying? So, if the news doesn't report it, that means nobody cares?

I don't measure it, but if I were going to, I'd probably look at the responses on Twitter, for a start.

I certainly wouldn't go by what the biased media reports - or doesn't report.

And foreigners aren't abysmally stupid enough to accept scenarios that some Americans apparently take as Gospel.

Well, if you are going to suspect the shop owner, you should probably have some facts about the shop owner to back up your suspicions, don't you think? All I see from you is sarcastic speculation.

So. All you have is sarcasm.

    Okay.

Ok, so you go by.......social media. All righty then.

Make no mistake about it. Musk did it because he thought it'd be huge news which would draw a tsunami of new users to Twitter. You gotta realize it when business people are making sales moves.

I don't know what his plan is for Twitter (maybe a big success) but this move fizzled out.

Partisan bickering interests only a small part of those 18% of Twitter users who are from US. The rest are there to discuss spots, music, jobs, relocation, etc. However it seems Musk wants it to be more about politics than anything else.

I don't think there was a shop owner or a laptop really. I think the whole thing was made up after the fact.

Do you have any facts? Or is that just a baseless opinion?
