You seem to be missing the point. I said there was no such thing as "Islamophobia" and explained why. Of course there is such a word in the dictionary, it's trotted out frequently, but it has no legitimate meaning. It is as ridiculous as Jewophobia or Hinduphobia or Democratophobia.. A 'phobia' is a legitimate medical term but there is no such thing as "Islamophobia". It's a manufactured word intended to delegitimize criticism of Islam, its apologists. and its adherents.

This phenomenon is not unknown, just as many women seriously believe they're Black, or marry murderers. People sometimes do very strange things and becoming a Muslim is one of them. A guess would be that Islam is in the news a lot making more people interested in the religion and, as well, people are often dissatisfied with their lives and seek new answers. These women might be unaware that they may be killed if they try to leave.. The same interest was true about Russia during the Cold War. Now it's not of much interest.

As Muslims become better educated and more aware of the values personal freedoms and responsibilities bring, I think Islam must die out eventually, but it will still be a struggle.
