If Americans compromise on gun control over the next 50 years to the same extent they did the last 50 years........

1). The 2nd Amendment will no longer be applicable
    2) Gun ownership in America will be more restrictive than that in the UK and France today
3). Violent crime will be exponentially more common than it is today.
4). Women and the elderly will be the most frequently victimized segments of the population
5). Government will have less respect for it's citizenry than it does today (which is already almost zero)

There are a lot of suggestions I can think of, branding violent offenders on their foreheads and many more. However, none would pass judicial review. As I recall, enhancing sentences because a firearm was involved was already proposed and declared unconstitutional by the SCOTUS. I may be incorrect on that; if so advise so.

Like LA, Chicago, NY? Places with strict gun laws and less violence?

How would laws address the 10s of millions of firearms in private ownership?

Such is a natural result of failing to correct on what is actually the problem, and instead blaming something else that is more convenient.

It did not work in the district of columbia. It did not work in the city of Chicago. It is not presently working in the state of California.

“In general, states and countries that have stronger gun laws have less gun violence”
Surprise, LA, Chicago and NYC are not states and neither are they countries. I know that’s a shock.....Socialized public library should have some geography books that could help identify states and countries.

Play your word games, facts are facts. Guns laws are not effective.

If firearm-related restrictions do not work in select cities simply because they play host to the greatest concentration of the criminal element, then they are serving no purpose in existing in the first place. If they cannot prevent the criminal element from illegally gaining access to a firearm, exactly what purpose are they serving to begin with?

A much simpler method and one that we have recommended is to allow a prospective buyer to fun a NICS check on themselves, if they pass they get a NICS clerance number good for 10 days, then all a seller needs to do is run the clearance number through and receive a validation it is real.

Case closed, seller doesn't need any personal information from the buyer, if they don't want it and can always fall back on the NICS validation as defense of a legal sale, should the buyer misuse the sold firearm.

    Which are two different firearms.

I doubt that to be true.

Do the state laws apply in the cities?

Meaning it is simply not possible for yourself to actually respond any further.

Either contribute something of actual relevance to the discussion, as per the established forum guidelines, or stay out of the discussion entirely. It is hardly that difficult of a concept to understand.

Just too hard to follow “you....” Yourself as a pronoun is only used if the sentence includes “you”. The meaning becomes hard to follow, if there is one. Just trying to be
    helpful.

Again, off topic and irrelevant to the discussion at hand. Address the actual matter with something of relevancy, or leave the discussion entirely. Again, it is hardly that difficult of a concept to understand.

You might think it’s fine, but it isn’t. Your statements have double meanings that some can’t follow.
    Moving on then .

If one is incapable of understanding that they are being addressed as if they were nothing more than a paid shill, that being presenting a message that is not even their own on the behalf of others, then ultimately that is their own fault and failure.

Back to the original claim on the part of yourself. That being that firearm-related restrictions which apply to the entire territory of a specific state, do not necessarily need to actually work in all cities in order for them to be considered successful. Meaning firearm-related restrictions are still considered successful even if they are not preventing the criminal element from illegally acquiring and/or using firearms in the commission of violent crimes, and are not leading to successful prosecutions for such offenses.

In essence the claim on the part of yourself is that failure is still success.
