I was hoping you would explain what you think would make it better than what I have now. Although I am not really sure how you would go about that as you don't know what I now have. Anyway, how do you think universal health care would be better than me having my private plan?
Then you are fortunate. I meant "you" in the national sense. I am also fortunate and Depends on what exactly that plan is. If its super expensive plan maybe it really is better... For you... While you can keep it...
The idea that the government should be taking care of you is as absurd as it is unsustainable. The present system is like it is because this is what happens when governments and corporations gain too much power. The folks who run this health care system could care less about you. You are one of 335M, just a number to be mass processed. Who lives and who dies is of no concern to any of these people. The only hope any of us have is to return the system back to individuals because only individuals have the potential to manifest compassion. Again, do you think the U.S.G. or Pfizer gives two shits whether you live or die?
I don't know why you resurrected this thread, but I looked at some of the arguments I won in it, good times!
You can't have your cake and eat it too. The U.S. is a corporate-state and paying homage is part of the deal. So you either de-construct the corporate-state OR [much preferable] make individuals responsible for their health and their care. The corporate-state is ONLY interested in the corporate-state. This is why these two sectors are doing quite well [at the expense of individuals].
