What happened over a century ago is irrelevant to the topic at hand, and it should be irrelevant to modern day blacks when considered in their hatred of WHITEY. BTW, my use of the word crap in no way suggests that blacks were treated inappropriately as slaves.

I understand the sentiment however, if one goes back far enough in one's own family tree, there will most likely be a time where at least one of the ancestors was conquered &/or enslaved by another culture. Sh!t happens and it does no good to mire oneself in pity and victimology.

Exactly the point. There's not a soul living today who was ever a slave in this country and it's very unlikely there are any children of slaves still alive. (could be a few, but they'd have to be close to 100).

The slavery thing is just an excuse for failure to thrive. If it was a legitimate complaint, there'd be no successful blacks.

 

Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton must make sure to keep the wounds of slavery open and sore so that they can collect their blood-money.
