Myanmar ethnic cleansing half a million Muslim.. why is everybody quiet ??

More than half a million Rohingya Muslims have fled an army campaign in just a few weeks, escaping into Bangladesh..
The US ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, lambasted the government of Aung San Suu Kyi for the bloodshed. “We cannot be afraid to call the actions of the Burmese authorities what they appear to be: a brutal, sustained campaign to cleanse the country of an ethnic minority,” she said. “And it should shame senior Burmese leaders who have sacrificed so much for an open, democratic Burma.”

But Myanmar’s national security adviser U Thaung Tun denied the accusations. “I can assure you that the leaders of Myanmar, who have been struggling so long for freedom and human rights, will never espouse policy of genocide or ethnic cleansing and that the government will do everything to prevent it,” he said.

He repeated a government line that 50% of Muslim villages in north Rakhine state, the heart of the violence, remain intact.

The violence, the latest and most deadly upsurge in years of government oppression and communal hatred between Rohingya and Buddhists in Rakhine, exploded on 25 August when Rohingya insurgents attacked army posts.

A ferocious counteroffensive has destroyed more than 200 Muslim villages, which have been shown by satellite imagery to have been burned. Refugees in Bangladesh has recounted horrific stories of rape, mass murder and infanticide.

It's tough to get worked up when the Rohingya Muslims attacked first. You really have to piss Buddhists off to get them to kill you, since that's against their religion.

 

Yes, it is too bad, but everyone on the planet is now aware of the terrorist bullying ploy that is catalyzed by Mohammed's Islam, and any country that can eliminate this potential problem before it grows is probably better off. The rebellious Rohingya villagers have been forced to relocate to a Muslim area.

Everything short of liberating you from the land thieves, in case you had not noticed the Palestinians are still occupied! If there is one thing the Palestinians desire it is freedom from the land thieves yoke. However such is the blindness of the land thieves they want to be occupier and victim.

No you stated that if you are Palestinian the world will do as you desire, show how the world has stopped the occupation of Palestine by eastern european land thieves. You made a statement, back it up or withdraw it!

 

This is irrelevant to this thread. However, let me point out several things wrong with your post: 1) The Jews didn't steal the land. The British stole it and gave it back to the Jews. 2) It was the Jews' homeland much earlier and for much longer than the Palestinians who occupied it. 3) The Palestinians are descended from the "land thieves" who took it from the Jews in the first place. 4) The Palestinians have been offered their own country several times and rejected it. 5) The Palestinians have been offered generous terms for peace if they would renounce their intention to wipe Israel off the map, but they rejected it, repeatedly. 6) There are now far more Palestinians and they are now far better off financially with Israel's existence than there were before Israel came along. 7) There is no such thing as a Palestinian. Ethnically, they are indistinguishable from the other Arabs who live in neighboring countries. 8 ) They've been paid for their land a dozen times over. The Palestinians have received billions in financial aid, from the US, the UN, and the Arab League. But they still claim poverty and repression because they spent the money on tunnels and weapons and bombs. Boo hoo.

 

Interesting opinion peace, Jews were 11% of the population of Palestine at the time of the mandate, then because of mass immigration, much of it illegal, they became strong enough to take some of the land by force, what do you call taking land by force?

I heard on the BBC that 400.000 of the exodus are children, and child Muslims grow up into adult Muslims, so maybe the Myanmar authorities could see the writing on the wall and decided to preempt it? That would make sense.

 

They discovered in rohingya territory a mass grave with 28 hindus slaughtered, if rohingyas are persecuted for a long time, what launched the army operation is the attack of a myanmar base making 50 deads, without considering the rape of a birman buddhist girl and murder of buddhist monks.

As a buddhist, I'm worried of that however. From my personnal point of view, Islam is despiticable, from the buddhist point of view, every life is worthy of respect. Every life include your own life, so you don't have to act as a victim/martyr.
But I and them belong to very different buddhist traditions, and we differ of point of view on major issues (for instance place of women).

 

Allah like all other gods is a man made fantasy. Why do you think the number of other countries has anything to do with land theft, if I have 23 eggs does that give you the right to one?
