There has been a ton of verbiage from Vermonter. You didn't read it, but I did read some of it. It left me wondering why.. His defense of slavery piqued my interest. And made me wonder if that was why... I can talk about why he's wrong, if anyone wants, but I personally don't see the need for it. slavery was doomed, as was the parasitic culture that lived off of it. Back in the early 70s, when I was taking history classes, I ran across Catholic 'history'. I thought it was funny, still do. For example, him saying the Church never tortured anyone. No, they just handed to sucker over to the local authorities and told them to do it. Any estate they had would be forfeit, isn't that an interesting coincidence. Not all of what he posted is wrong. I just never expected to see Catholic apologetics outside an academic setting.
