Myths that have been pushed by the Democratic party...

I'd be interested in compiling a list of the ideas supported by the Democratic party in the recent past that we now know to be untrue.

An example? The idea that the southern states have "flipped" from being Democratic to Republican. The case for why this is untrue is provided by Vanderbilt University's Carol Swain, Professor of Political Science and Law:

The myth that Republican lawmakers are more expensive to buy than Democrats.

 

My recollection (goes back to the 60's) is that the Republicans were primarily rich people living in a bubble with no clue of how the rest of the country lived while the Democrats were primarily working class ruled by 1%ers.

That flipped when LBJ created the Great Plantation and the working class fled the Democrat Party in droves. So today we have the 1%ers ruling over very few working class voters and the never do wells while the Republican party is primarily comprised of the upper and lower middle class, the ones who pay the lion's share of taxes. Most people vote their pocketbooks..........and the uber wealthy vote for control of their Plantation drones.

 

Funny though, the republicans fight for the right for everyone to have a gun. Can you enslave a group of people who are armed or unarmed?

All the "racist" cop killings and racial unrest come from liberal cities, not the republican south.

 

And LBJ lost the south because those racist Democrats at the time wouldn't vote for them, thus, they slowly because puppets of the repulicans. It has swithed and she is just reading off of qcards placed there by republicans, how about that...

 

She is also cherry picking presidents and times to make her argument sound legit. This is what the republican do to stupid people and get them to buy in...

Ah, myth number 2: The left represents the educated, as their ideas are intellectually superior. The right is full of morons who don't understand what it means to look out for their own interests or discern fact from fiction.

LOL, "cherry picked". Is that what you call it when she talks about 2 of the last 3 Democrat POTUS's having carried southern states? Nixon didn't carry the south the first time around, and carried all but one state the 2nd time. Carter took the entire south, but being considered the worst in history, Reagan took everything in 1980. Reagan being so good took everything in 1984.And cause Reagan was so good, Bush took just about everything in '88. Clinton took the half of the south in 92, and again in 96. The point being made is that it didn't take 30+ years for the fabled "southern strat" to come to fruition, especially when you guys claim it was Nixon's plan.

 

Yeah, dem po black conservatives with PHDs and Masters in mathematics and various other higher education degrees are idiots according to the left. Only true "free black" is the ones that follow the other 95% of blacks who will chastise any blacks who leave the group think plantation. But that's cause the GOP is dem der raysist.

 

There is no Myth, sorry, I am in Port Saint Lucie FLorida having moved here in 1999. This is the 47 county of 48th educated state in the country. Kids can barely spell correctly, let alone grammar. They went to school in flip flops and shorts. The HEAT beats them up and makes them slower. This is why people stayed up north before the Air condition. You can find the facts online that the south is far behind...
We actually had to send our kid to private school because the saint lucie county school district was so bad...
This is just another right agenda documentary... Create what looks like a myth by cherry picking dates and stats to back it up... You could make the opposite argument and it would read twice as good with stronger, LARGER facts...
There was no doubt that when LBJ backed the civil rights act he lost the south and the Georgia Leader that led it. That little video points out the exceptions to the rules, not the rules in place for the hidden racism down here. I hear the dumb jokes from my buddies and call them out on them.. THey also have the jewish jokes, the pollack, etc... Most are harmless, and were 40 years ago. People take offense to them and thus, they shouldn't be told... Hate is never the object, but hidden agenda's are always there...

The biggest Democrat myth ever is that spending increases, which are smaller than they want, are cuts

 

Ok, simple math for you. For the first time since the civil war when all the south was voting democrat, they finally voted for a republican in 1964. That first time was for Barry Goldwater who won the south, minus FL, plus AZ. You are looking at it like the entire south voted Democrat before 1964, while after 1964, everyone switched to republican cause of LBJ. Sorry, but people will chose to NOT vote. If the southern dixiecrat voters were so disheartened by LBJ signing the republican led civil rights act, why would the jump to vote for republicans? Between 1960 and 1964, there was a 2.2% drop in voter turnout, the first time in 12 years where less of the country as a whole didn't vote. Almost 9 million new registrant voters were added, only 2 million more actually voted. We can look through the voting records and see that overall, less people voted in 1964 than in 1960 in the south, and most likely the ones who didn't vote were democrats. Its the same reason why Hillary lost last year, less democrats voted in swing states because of how poorly Obama did as POTUS.

Myth 4: Checking your drivers license at the voting booth is racist.

 

Or that 80% of PP clinics are placed right outside of minority urban housing developments while Margret Sanger blatantly said she wanted to wipe out the negro race.

Well, "Myth 1" is based on cherry picked elections.

The presenter fails to mention that blacks were largely disenfranchised in the South in 1928. The Democratic white south was not going to vote for a Papist.

Eisenhower's popularity had nothing do do with race.

Myths 2 and 3 are false constructs.

As someone who lived through those times, I can tell you that the evolution of the South from Democratic to Republican is something I have been watching in real time for decades.

And to suggest that pandering to racial politics in ways large and small have been a standard part of the GOP playbook for four decades.

Nothing is ever just one thing, like the heat, or republicans, but who has time to write all of the problems with the southern voter, the southern people in southern Ohio, the ones in the country via MichigaN AND SO ON... nO, THEY DONT HAVE THE INTELLIGENCE TO LOOK OUT FOR THEMSELVES AND i SEE IT IN MY WIFES FAMILY. They quote the president, or VP, or throw out an example like the coalminers, because TRUMP says it... In that point, and with many of them, not all, they cannot look out for themselves.
I try to have an intelligent conversation with them and after a few back and forths, they say, "ole, who cares, it will all work out" as long as I AM ok, no worries... Then a month later it is back to the same thing, "DID you see the thing about the coal miners" Dumb and dumber... Like Trump right now, talking about one small story in wisconsin, or some cherry picked family out of West Virginia. it never ends, the dumb !
