The African people were sold to Europeans. That means, their own people SOLD them as slaves. Once again, DO YOU NEED SOURCES?

 

And some free blacks had their very own slaves.

 

I was trying to make an analogy but it obviously went over your head. Yes the Africans sold them as slaves. But if Americans didn’t want the slaves there would be no slave trade. We hold ourselves morally superior but it’s just showing that we aren’t

 

If you feel the need to punish these slave owners than feel free. My family came here from Ireland and Italy in the 1900's. We had nothing to do with slaves. In fact, my Irish side was forced to work on railroads in the US in order to gain entry. No one complains about that though.

 

Why are SJW types concerned about slave owners who died oh, a century ago when slavery is still going on in the world? Can we say misplaced priorities?

Sure, you can forget slavery. I do not, personally. I think it's awful that the African colonies sold their OWN CITIZENS for money. These were actual people.

Once again, if you can find a slave owner to punish right now- do it. However, they have all died out and now we have a free nation. Unless of course you are hilarious enough to think you should punish the offspring (many generations past) of these individuals. If that was your case, then I expect to see you supporting us sanctioning African nations.

 

I agree with you it was awful that Africans sold their own citizens. I think it is also awful that people sell children for sex in this country. But does that make the people who buy the service is good people? If you are buying a child for sex it doesn’t make you any better than the person selling the child.. I keep mentioning to forget slavery. Let’s talk about segregation where all have not died out. It takes generations before the internalized messages that blacks are inferior disappears
