Oh my the leftness wrong again with the Global Warming Theory. It is quite funny how the left thinks that science is a settled issue. Evidently their global warming science is far from being settled. What say ye?

Al Gore thinks the weather has been out of the Book of Revelation, while Time and ABC News have reported that Antarctica is melting very quickly. Now, it’s not (via NASA):

"The melt rate of West Antarctica's Thwaites Glacier is an important concern, because this glacier alone is currently responsible for about 1 percent of global sea level rise. A new NASA study finds that Thwaites' ice loss will continue, but not quite as rapidly as previous studies have estimated.

The new study, published in the journal Geophysical Research Letters, finds that numerical models used in previous studies have overestimated how rapidly ocean water is able to melt the glacier from below, leading them to overestimate the glacier's total ice loss over the next 50 years by about 7 percent."

Despite what liberals may say about global warming, science is never a settled issue. That’s what you should glean from this. The studies can be wrong. The models can be wrong. And the question nations face concerning so-called global warming is whether they want to invest hundreds of billion, if not trillions, of dollars on a group of people who have been wrong before. How much economic growth, decreased standard of living, less prosperity, and the accompanying misery will you artificially inflict among those in your society on predictions that have been grossly inaccurate? In the 1970s, global cooling was the threat that could spell mankind’s doom. Nothing ever happened.....snip~

They cant even predict the weather forecast right, how the hell can they predict climate 50 years from now

Is it surprising that leftness would be proven wrong again? Why does anyone believe them when they keep getting it wrong again and again?

I just figured out why lefties are so scared. They need complete protection from everything...Including forces of nature. Lefties are perpetual 'victims' and can't survive without the thought that they are completely encased in their impenetrable cocoon in their own little hall of mirrors. Anyone logically suggesting that one cannot be 100% protected is called a 'denier.'

So, just another denier hypocrisy-and-hysteria thread. Same old same old.

That is, they scream in bug-eyed rage that all the science is wrong ... right up until they think they see a bit that they think agrees with them, at which point the science suddenly becomes perfect. In this case, it was just a tiny 7% change in an estimate that got them all to switch from "It's fraud!" to "It's perfect!".

That's one of many reasons why the whole planet just ignores the denier cult, other than corrupt bribe-taking politicians and their brainless Useful Idiot lackeys.

What have you done today to save the Thwaites Glacier?

Ice cancels search for signs of global warming

Some 40 scientists with $17 million in Canadian tax dollars to blow over the next four years decided to take a cruise in the Arctic Ocean to prove that man is causing the Earth to burn out of control.

But Arctic ice forced them to shut down their little trip.

    From Canadian Broadcasting:
Their trip began May 25 in Quebec City, but due to bad ice conditions off the coast of Newfoundland, the icebreaker was diverted from its course to help ferries and fishing boats navigate the Strait of Belle Isle, said David Barber, a climate change scientist at the University of Manitoba and leader of the Hudson Bay expedition called BaySys.Thick, dense ice had traveled to the area down from the High Arctic, said Barber, which caused unsuspecting boats to become stuck and even take on water.Unsuspecting boats? Canadian boats think for themselves? They have no crews? The boats just cruise around, get stuck in ice -- High Arctic ice -- and have to be rescued?

But that was not the only thing wrong with the story. The headline read: "Climate change researchers cancel expedition because of climate change."

The annual melting of Arctic ice will continue through September, so maybe they can try again in July. Or August. Or September, when the water starts freezing again.

Meanwhile, the slight increase of carbon dioxide in the air -- maybe 1 part per million per year -- has led to bumper crops that reduce the need for fertilizer.

Washington’s 2016 wine harvest was the largest in the state’s history. Will it be the best?
Omaha-based Gavilon still faces an oversupply of grain from record 2016 harvest

Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant. It enables life on this planet.

More of Antarctic glacier floating than thought: scientists
Wed, Mar 21, 2018 - More of a France-sized glacier in Antarctica is floating on the ocean than previously thought, scientists said yesterday, raising fears it could melt faster as the climate warms and have a dramatic effect on rising sea levels.

Time to do what triggers the cultists most reliably, which is present more facts and data. From actual scientific sources, instead of cult blogs that misrepresent NASA.

    ---
The team, led by Dr Hannes Konrad, found that grounding line retreat has been extreme at eight of the ice sheet’s 65 biggest glaciers. The pace of deglaciation since the last ice age is roughly 25 metres per year. The retreat of the grounding line at these glaciers is more than five times that rate.

    ---
“It should give people more cause for concern,” said Shepherd. “Now that we have mapped the whole edge of the ice sheet, it rules out any chance that parts of Antarctica are advancing. We see retreat in more places and stasis elsewhere. The net effect is that the ice sheet overall is retreating. People can’t say ‘you’ve left a stone unturned’. We’ve looked everywhere now.”

The results could prompt an upward revision of sea-level rise projections. 10 years ago, the main driver was Greenland. More recently, the Antarctic’s estimated contribution has been raised by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. But its forecasts were based on measurements from the two main west Antarctic glaciers – Thwaites and Pine Island – a sample that provides an overly narrow and conservative view of what is happening when compared with the new research.
