God Mondays game was an injustice to the fans. I thought the NFL made an agreement with the networks to allow marquee games to be rescheduled so we don't get Monday night stinkers. It was like watching pop Warner. Neither team was disciplined enough to put together a drive. On teams total offense is a really fast kid. The other is sending the house to stop him. And he breaks one really big run that is the difference in the game.
I think that the jets think that football is baseball and are trying to manage like the Yankees. News flash football is a much younger mans game with more demanded of the total team with a hard salary cap.

Good picks this week man. The two we have different could go either way. We'll have to start another thread for the playoffs, this thread is almost at the limit. My preferred scenario for the playoffs would be Seattle & Washington for the NFC championship, and New England & Indianapolis for the AFC championship. That would be three rookies, and at least one would be in the SB. But I want to see Brady get his fourth ring and be tied for all time with Bradshaw. You know I love those "liberal" Pats.((((wink))))
I wouldn't mind seeing those matchups in the playoffs as well. I'm a little concerned about Denver getting homefield advantage throughout with a Houston loss to Indy on Sunday. If that happens, its going to be tough for anyone to beat Denver at mile high stadium. Do they still play at mile high? But first, we need to have Houston lose to Indy to ensure New England gets the 2nd seed in the AFC. An AFC matchup between Denver and N.E. would be great for football. Remember, N.E. beat Denver earlier this year. The NFC is a tossup for me because I don't follow that league as much as I do the AFC. If I had my druthers, I would just soon see N.Y. Giants matched up against Seattle for the title--but that is a long shot at best. I'm not sure with a loss this Sunday that the Giants will even make it into the playoffs. I think they're only 8-7 to date. I'm stil holding on to my prediction that it will be a repeat of last year's super bowl--but with a different outcome, of course.
Peyton Manning is 1-7 in cold weather playoff games. I'd love to see the Pats in Denver in a snow storm.
I put this on the college football thread also. The new helmet to helmet rule is destroying the game. Now receivers and running backs actually lower their heads in order to make that contact, so the defense gets a fifteen yard penalty. It's the dumbest rule ever.
Only two missed. Looks like you made some of that money back that you lost the previous two weeks. Pats got the No.2 spot, thanks to Texass. Denver got the No.1 with a cake walk schedule. They only played four winning teams, and lost to three of them. Peterson missed the rushing record by nine measly yards, but took the ants out of the playoffs. And RG3 took out the cow patties. Yea!
Good question. It seems to me though, that his days are numbered 'cause it's likely that he'll still have that albatross hanging around his neck next season named "Mark Sanchez". Unless the Jets can get some sucker to take him off their hands, or they take a huge cap hit. If I were the Jets, I'd consider taking the cap hit.
Houston seriously needs to focus on red zone execution and their 2 minute drill if they want to stand a chance against the Pats. Now that everyone is healthy, Green Bay has such unreal talent that their only problem is staying on task and sealing the deal. Ravens looked pretty good, but I wouldn't want to be heading to Denver playing anything less than spectacular. I think Seattle got the luck of the draw. I would much rather be heading to Atlanta with their playoff history, than Green Bay or San Fran. NFC are the games to watch. AFC is crap this year, and only when the super bowl comes will we know if the Broncos or Pats are as good as their records imply.
LMFAO! Are you serious? There isn't a team in the NFC that would have a chance against the Pats or the Broncos. This is a no-brainer--this year's super bowl winner will come from the AFC.
Um...and you know this because? Who did the Pats or the Broncos have to face all year? They each were the only decent team in their divisions. The AFC north and south were jokes as well. Hell, the Bengals are crap and got 10 wins just because that's how much worse the rest of the AFC is. The Super Bowl will be the 1st real game either will play all year.
Denver only played four winning teams. Atlanta, Houston, New England and Baltimore. They lost to all but Baltimore. The Patriots played Baltimore, Denver, Seattle, Indianapolis, Houston, and San Fransisco. They won half of those games. They lost to Baltimore by one point, lost to Seattle by one point, and lost San Fransisco by one touchdown. The Patriots of won three SB's in the last ten years. No other teams in the playoffs have come close to New England's winning record during that time. Patriots vs. Seahawks in SB XLVII.
I think Baltimore vs San Fran would be the funnest for obvious reasons. With that said, if I had to bet, I would say Patriots vs Packers, with the Packers winning. Packers have all their talent back, healthy, hungry and fresh. Had a season full of tough games, and made it to the playoffs with many starters out. I'm not a fan by any means, but it is tough to see anyone stopping them at this point.
At this point I'll have to agree with you for the eventual super bowl matchup being Patriots against the cheese heads, however, since the Pats once lost to the heads in a prior SB, there is no question that this year they'll make amends by coming out on top.
GB beat the Vikings because they only rushed two or three linemen, and gave Rogers all day to find a target. Seattle won't be so kind. GB's running game is poor. Look for blitzes all day on Rogers. Five sacks, and three picks. Marshaun Lynch will run for a buck fifty. That's how I see the NFC championship.
