Native Americans lost their land when they picked a fight with superior people and armies.

    Nothing was stolen.

You don't think our own culture was savage? Killing women and children is not savage?

The ends justify the means. Until they were civilized it was a deed that needed to be done. Thankfully the native tribes were eventually civilized.

Civilized meaning they needed to conform to the conqueror's idea of civilization. Do you think there is only one concept of civilization and it only happens by starving people until they conform?

Civilization is not rape, cannibalism, and scalping.

sorry if you think that a civilization can exist with that. Christian civilization supports good behavior. Pagans/satanists will do what feels good to them, not the greater good.

immoral people deserve immoral deeds done to them to preserve the harmony and flow of good will.

Yet that is exactly what happened to many of the native cultures. They were murdered, scalped, and raped by the 'civilized' culture. You are defending the immoral deeds done to gain land and power. Even a cursory knowledge of history will inform you.

They were never raped or scalped. Killing assailants in self defense is not murder.

People like @Aquarius (& Donald Trump) realize that all past agreements of the U.S. are only good until the next election. So, if we decide that it is unfair that our state of Alaska is separated from the rest of our great country, we should, naturally, just invade Canada. Screw our agreement to abide by the 49th parallel as a border-- we're AMERICANS, man! Any suggestion from some online dolt, to break one of our nation's treaties or agreements, should be good enough, for any true patriot.

    Cause we're AMERICANS, MAN...
    yeah we're AMERICANS , MAN!

    We're comin' To your town/
May burn it Straight to the ground/
    Because AMERICANS CAN!

Then you must be ecstatic about the deregistration of thousands of Indians from the reservations.

Oh what nonsense. "Scalping" is a myth. It was introduces to the Indians by the French, and had been used in Europe for thousands of years. It is not "Native" to the Americas, and like everything else a complete fantasy you have created or others have created that you have repeated.

And it has nothing to do with "purity", it has to do with residing on the Reservation itself. I am no longer a member, because my great-grandfather illegal left it over 100 years ago. But I am as much an Indian as others who are registered with their tribes, but unlike me they have almost constantly remained on the Reservation or close to it.

Get out of here with that garbage, or better yet, go ahead and scalp yourself. I can only assume that if you have hair on top of your head, that must be those "Indian Genes" you claim, therefore you should excise them. and be bald like the "rest of the Europeans".

Indian reservations have served to preserve tribal identities.

That may not be important to you... but to many diverse racial tribes [including White Europeans] their people, their tribe is an extension of themselves, their family, religion, culture, heritage, land and history.

Hey, it is so unfair that Hawaii is out there also, maybe we should invade to combine them with the rest of the states also.

You know who introduced them to "scalping", right?

During the French & Indian Wars, they would send the tribes out to eliminate enemy tribes or English settlements, and would then demand the scalps as proof that they had done the raids. And it was not even new to them, the Franks and most of the Germanic tribes did it back then. It was not actually part of the culture before they arrived.

Kind of like horses, but they did pick up on it fast. They had long fought their neighbors, but now they could get paid to do it.

Do you live on a Reservation?

There is no "purity test", the requirement is simply that they live on or near a Reservation, and both their birth and then a direct line goes back where at least one line has a constant proven line to one of the earliest registered there.

The thing is, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, most of our ancestors did not do that. My maternal Grandmother was the last one born on the outskirts of the Reservation, and right afterwards her entire family left for California. My mother was never registered there, nor was I. Of the over 5 million Indians in the country today, the vast majority are not registered.

Yet, I have lived for many years outside of Reservations. In fact, quite often the locals have joked I was the "funny looking 'skin" because it is obvious to most that I am indeed of Indian heritage, but not of their tribe. They could see the heritage, but my tribe was originally from Canada, and migrated to the Great Lakes region. So about as removed from the locals as say one European from Norway, and another from Greece.

If I really wanted to, I could "fight" to become a recognized member, but why?

I must have learned it from the left, right champ? Lol..... I didn’t need to go to any college to realize that anyone who refer’s to those who disagree with their political views as “the left” is exposing their ignorance about people in general and also not well versed in the use of the English language. I used to listen to a guy named Denis Prager on the radio. He is an Ivy League ex hippie who jumped in and became a CONservative talk show host and completely changed his world view overnight once he realized how much money Rush Limbaugh was making. He is a big phony and a pretty good propagandist. He, like Trump is running a phony entity called Prager University. This guy is one of the most pompous a$$holes on the planet and he is continually blaming everything bad that ever happens on “da left” in his thinly disguised Brooklyn dialect. His boring screeds are peppered with “da left this” and “da left dat”. Since you also have the habit of calling everything you don’t like, “the left”, I thought you might be a graduate at the phony Prager University.

Oh I have no idea how you think Prager University plays into this thread topic. But I'm guessing you didn't decide to use terms like this:

...because of Prager U. I'm curious as to why you thought that was appropriate.

And to me, I am proud that I sit rather squarely in the middle, and both mock and dismiss those who sit on the extremes of both sides.

And yes, I have disdain and mock both the far-left and the far-right. But it seems most of the time, it is the Far Left that is the most aggressive, insulting, and abusive anymore. Most of the far right are obviously brain dead morons, and barely worth talking to. But the left has become over the last decade increasingly offensive, and less rational every year. And just the need you feel for writing "CONservative" shows me you are not mainstream, you are on the fringes and see anybody that does not agree with you and think like you as the enemy.

And it seems to me that you are the one that brought up race, so Hmmmmmm.

If you took the time to read the post I was responding to when you butted in and called me “the left” you would realize that I was being sarcastic to racist post by a guy who was claiming that “negroes were mass raping white women” in the south back in the 1870s. My response was both appropriate and on target.

I think it's fair to say you may have meant some sort of sarcasm, but that doesn't change my observation that you guys like to use racially derogatory terms, then excuse their use as somehow being ironic or "sarcastic."

Gee that’s a keen observation. However I am not “the left” or one of “you guys”, I am Jack. I have my own way of communicating on this forum and using sarcasm to make my points or belittling another poster after he has made an ignorant, racist statement. I am not a member of what seems to be the be all boogeyman to many posters here who continually try to pigeonhole anyone who disagrees with them as “the left”.

The first time I heard that phrase repeatedly used was by that dishonest creep, Denis Prager. That’s why I asked you if you were a graduate of the phony entity known as Prager University. Many of these AM radio blowhards have cultivated masses of political drones who have proudly deemed themselves “ditto heads” or that they have been “Hannitized” which clearly indicates that they have become mindless parrots of these skilled propagandists and damn proud of it. By their vernacular and phrasing here on PF I can easily spot them. As a skilled poker player for decades, I have made it my business to be able to read people and their tells.

Again with this Denis Prager! I'm not following how he has anything to do with anything...

OK so you are not "the left," you are just Jack who likes to use racially derogatory terms, then excuse their use as somehow being ironic or "sarcastic."

    Got it.
