What Frightened the USS Donald Cook So Much In The Black Sea?
    http://www.voltairenet.org/article185860.html

Well as the USS Donald Cook discovered back in November 2014 !

    & NATO NOW admits

The US lags drastically behind Russia in Electronic Jamming Technologies
& with DOG LEGS such as the F35 coming on line they face certain
!Catastrophe! in any real conflict that they seem so eager to precipitate

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
NATO: Russian Electronic Warfare is Limitless
    http://fortruss.blogspot.ca/2015/08/nato-russian-electronic-warfare-is.html

The commander of NATO forces in Europe said that the capabilities of Russian Radio/Radar Electronic
    Warfare (REW) divisions are limitless.

“RIA Novosti" published translation of an article by military analytical portal “Defence News”, which
reports on the capabilities of Russian troops of radio-electronic warfare. Military analysts report that
Russian REW system is several times more superior than the US and can cause enormous damage to the
US Army, as Americans do not have experience in dealing with it .

The commander of NATO forces in Europe, Ben Hodges added: "The US troops have never encountered
Russian artillery and did not deal with serious REW system, jamming or information-gathering systems."
According to him, Russian electronic warfare units have "exorbitant" capabilities.

The former head of the US Army REW Lori Bakhut on this occasion said: "Our main problem is that we
have not fought in conditions of jammed communications for several decades, so we have no idea how
to act in such a situation. We have no strategy and algorithm of actions, we are absolutely not prepared
to conduct combat operations in the absence of communication. US does not have such extensive
capabilities or REW what Russia has. We have a very good radio intelligence, and we can conduct
wiretapping round the clock, but when it comes to shutting down enemy hardware – our abilities are
not even one tenth of what Russian army can do"

According to the portal “Defence News”, the Pentagon decided to rectify the situation and launched
a program that will make a difference, but the first results are expected only by 2023.

Perhaps they are finally realizing that their Bloated Military Industrial Complex might be more of

Has Russia Just Changed The Future Of Warfare Completely,
And Rendered US High-Tech Weapons Systems Inoperable?

    http://allnewspipeline.com/Has_Russia_Just_Changed_The_Future.php

    Links in Purple
Via a tip from an ANP trusted source, we see a few pieces of a puzzle that when added to the big picture
offers us insight to what could be one of the biggest game changers in history, putting the Russian
military in a position of total dominance over the US military in any upcoming war, which as was
explained in an earlier article, is rapidly approaching.

Back in early November 2014, the Intenet was abuzz with talk of a story titled "What frightened the USS
Donald Cook so much in the Black Sea?," where it was claimed that an incident in April 2014
"demoralized" the crew of the USS Donald Cook, when a Russian Sukhoi-24 (SU-24) fighter jet buzzed
the the USS Donald Cook, not carrying bombs or missiles, but rendering them completely inoperable
with the use of an "electronic warfare device."

As the Russian jet approached the US vessel, the electronic device disabled all radars, control circuits,
systems, information transmission, etc. on board the US destroyer. In other words, the all-powerful
Aegis system, now hooked up - or about to be - with the defense systems installed on NATO’s most
modern ships was shut down, as turning off the TV set with the remote control.

The Russian Su-24 then simulated a missile attack against the USS Donald Cook, which was left literally
deaf and blind. As if carrying out a training exercise, the Russian aircraft - unarmed - repeated the same
maneuver 12 times before flying away.

Without any reports at all from any MSM source or confirmation from Russia, people waved this away
as rumor, speculation or an outright hoax, but in March 2015, Russian News agency Sputnik, which is
owned an operated by the Russian government, announced that Russia had unveiled a new
    "revolutionary electronic warfare system."

Russia's new Richag-AV radar and sonar jamming system can be mounted on helicopters, ships and other
military equipment to jam potential adversaries' weapons systems from distances of several hundred
kilometers away; it has been hailed by developers as having no analogue anywhere in the world.

Sounds a lot like the type of advanced technology that was described in the November report about
Russia's ability to completely render one of America's most advanced missile destroyers completely
    inoperable, doesn't it?

Russia is also reportedly advancing their naval capabilities, including the addition of 50 new vessels in 2015 alone:

The Navy is continually developing their ocean strategy, aimed at protecting government interests and
its economic activity in deferent regions of the world.

“The Navy is able to meet the requirements, with surface ships and nuclear-powered submarines, to
accomplish a range of tasks for the purpose from different remote basing points,” said Chirkov.

In March 2015, Sputnik also specifically highlighted a "catastrophic event" when a US military satellite,
after suffering a "sudden spike in temperature," exploded, sending dozens of chunks of debris hurtling
    into Earth's orbit.

Was this a shot across the bow from Russia, showing exactly what they could do, not only to our
warships, planes and submarines, but to our satellite systems as well?

Our source tells us this is "actually the biggest story in the world," because if Russia is capable of
disabling the USS Donald Cook and the entire US Navy with their "revolutionary electronic
warfare systems," then Russia has already won any type of traditional war.

This would leave the US one option, the nuclear option and as was explained in the previous article,
Russia is already preparing for that as well.

Electronic attack should be considered an attack like any other, and an act of war. Russia needs to grow up, assuming the stuff you've posted is actually true, which most of the pro-Russian stuff I read here, is not.

The US chose to directly Threaten the sovereignty & legitimate strategic interests of Russia, when it purposely & brazenly
precipitated the Illegal Fascist Coupe in the Ukraine in an attempt to excluded them from their Naval Base in the Crimea

The USS Donald Duck had extended its stay and was in the Black Sea Illegally under the terms of the Montreux Convention
It was Stupid a show of force meant to intimidate the Russki's, but it blew up in the American's face when the Russki's chose to
place a shot across the bow of the USS Donald Duck and demonstrate a Advanced Technology to which the US has no answer to

In one simple DEMO the Russki's have shown the $Grazillion Dollar$ US Navy etc to be, nothing more than a bunch of obsolete

Pentagon Worries That Russia Can Now Outshoot U.S. Stealth Jets
    http://www.thedailybeast.com/articl...russia-can-now-outshoot-u-s-stealth-jets.html

High flying and fast, the F-22 Raptor stealth jet is by far the most lethal fighter America has ever built. But the Raptor
—and indeed all U.S. fighters—have a potential Achilles’ heel, according to a half-dozen current and former Air Force
officials. The F-22’s long-range air-to-air missiles might not be able to hit an enemy aircraft, thanks to new enemy
    radar-jamming techniques.

Don’t Panic, But Pentagon Now Thinks Russia Can Jam American Air-to-Air Missiles
    http://hotair.com/archives/2014/12/...-russia-can-jam-american-air-to-air-missiles/

This is a problem that can be remedied, but, according to sources, it would require the development and deployment
of an entirely new set of air-to-air projectiles. That is an expensive and onerous prospect, and one which would take
years to complete. 2023 earliest date

I thought about the Russians obviously superior technology for quite some time now, and I admit American forces offer no significant threat to Russia and her allies.

Im sure Russia doesnt need to even feel threatened any more, and can now spend its entire GDP on improving the lives of Russian citizens.

Its truely an amazing time for Russia, now they can focus on dentistry and shirtless horseback riding photography...

Russian arms do not cost as much as the American ones, since they are chosen and designed by those in the field such as Generals. One of them asked after comparing American fighter jets to Swiss watches, and Russian jets like tanks; 'in case of war, what would you rather be in a Swiss watch or a tank?

Quite so. The US hasn't had a real enemy to fight in a very long time, and even back when we did, we were not clearly superior. We were fortunate to have nukes first in WWII, and to have such a large, resource-rich land pitted against already embattled, smaller countries, and even then we were hard-pressed to win the day. By the time we got to the Cold War and its proxy wars, we were easily matched by what the Soviets had, but there again we were not against an equal foe in all respects, because our fights were against those smaller countries with few people and resources. Also, those wars, as with the world wars, were fought almost entirely on foreign soil, where their industry and society was impacted, and not our own. We could build and send more hardware, train and send more soldiers, &c. without great difficulty, whereas they had our firepower to contend with in their cities and factories.

Our perceived military superiority is largely illusory, a product of propaganda, and a tool by which the MIC has been keeping itself funded and growing. They say we're the best, and that we need to be the best, and that we need to keep up our military spending to stay the best. They say that if it isn't so, we'll be attacked and invaded and beaten by someone big and scary out there.

War is Peace! Our unending global conflict is also how we maintain domestic peace and keep the rest of the world in line. The world is our empire, and that is what our military spending, our minor but continual hot conflicts around the world, and our myth of military superiority, are all about.

An electronic attack is not an "attack like any other" in that no lives were threatened or lost.

The wave of denial on the part of the "Chest beaters - were the best, fck the rest" when the Donald Cook story first came out was deafening.

This "necessary illusion" that we can just do what we want and no one can do anything about it has been a fable for quite some time and this fable gets weaker by the day.

This necessary illusion serves mainly to prop up the military Oligopoly-Bureaucracy which currently consumes 1 Trillion/year of our tax dollars.

Another head of this monster is the Healthcare Oligopoly-Bureaucracy and there are others but I will only focus on the Military head for now.

The demise of previous economic empires (I can give you the long version if you like) was in large part a function of diminishing return for military investment. One of the oldest rules of history is that technological innovation leads to military superiority which leads to economic hegemony.

Over time technology spreads which increases the cost of maintaining that economic hegemony to the point where that the countries who tried to do so went into serious economic decline (Rome is one example, Dutch, Spanish and British economic empires are more recent ones)

The Brits had the gatling gun. With one gunship they could take over an entire nation in Africa (fighting back with sticks and stones). As technology spread over time that nation got the gatling gun.

Now just one gunship was not enough. You had to send an entire armada and you would be taking many casualties. The cost of projecting power increases with time.

We are at a similar point in history. F-16's the bulk of our fighter force have little chance against modern missile technology.

The Serbs were able to see and hit two F117 stealth bombers using modified 1970's missile technology (they also shot down an F-16). This was during the war in Yugoslavia in the late 1990's

Rather than trying to match the US plane for plane, ship for ship, the Russian focused on missile technology and when they introduced the Sunburn anti ship missile in the mid 90s they were at least a decade ahead of anything we had.

Our floating metal cities are sitting ducks ... fish in a barrel in the face of modern missile technology. The Sunburn is a supersonic cruise missile which is not detected until it breaches the horizon at which point the ship has roughly 50 seconds to react.

The newer Russian stuff is Hypersonic (25 seconds reaction time), stealthy, smart and does evasive maneuvers prior to impact.

The fact of the matter is that we are not going to be attacking Russia anytime soon and they will not be attacking us. What then is the point of the 1 Trillion dollar a year spend ? Roughly 1/3 of our federal revenue. Hence the need for necessary illusions to maintain that spending of which I have given just one. Others are the ramping up of the "fear factor".

The global chessboard has changed. Used to be that if your economy stumbled you just attacked your neighbor and stole his stuff. This held true for all of past history up to the 50's when everything changed. The return for attacking a nuclear equipped country like Russia is to annihilate yourself witch is not a happy situation.

The game has changed and the piece on the board with the most power is now economic and not military. China understands this well and they are kicking our arse. Trump got at least one thing right.

The cost of projecting power (non nuke) has increased to the point where you do serious economic damage to yourself. Our little skirmish with Iraq where they had little to fight back with and did not even use what they had cost upwards of 4 Trillion.

That there is a positive return our vast military investment is another "necessary illusion".

Total Military Spending in 2000 was roughly 350 Billion. Bush ramped it up to over 900 Billion and it has been over 1 Trillion since Obama.

Had we just maintained what was already by far the strongest military (increasing with inflation) and used that excess 550 Billion a year over 14 years on infrastructure, technology and ramping up our economy that would have been 8 Trillion dollars well spent and not thrown into the toilet.

Keep in mind that Military just one head of the Oligopoly fused with Bureaucracy monster that plagues out current system.

We are wasting away our future and it matters not whether one vote Red or Blue. Both serve the Monster and not the "we the people".

Good writing, GiftedOne. Thanks and Congratulations.

There is another aspect to your subject, which is that in the Talmud, America is referred to as "Fortress America" that was supposed to destroy any nation or people who resisted worldwide control by the Talmudists.

This is a main reason that Americans are taxed so heavily to support the Fortress America scheme.
Perhaps, Russia has neutralized that plan, and a much more peaceful world is coming down the road, while we wage our terrorist wars against Iraq, Syria, Africa, Europe and ouselves.

You focus on US ships in the Black Sea, but pay attention that also some French and Italian units were there [I wonder if you noted them with your incredibly advanced systems ... sure the unit for electronic warfare, since it's not totally and properly stealth].

A part a bit of military satire, there was an article on RIA Novosti about Italian Elettra [ELINT / SIGNIT unit].

What irritated Moscow the most about the Elettra is that it doesn't need to get close to the coasts to spy, so that it doesn't give excused to Russians to interfere [since it remains in international waters with its beyond horizon scanning systems]. And Russians cannot "disturb" the activities of a unit like the Elettra ...

BTW, about knowing which ships are in the Black Sea, it's easy, there is the Montreaux Convention which forces countries sending ships in the sea to inform Ankara and Turkey informs all the countries around the Black Sea ...

LOL! Your entire source does not contain anything remotely reliable. A pro-Russian website makes absurd claims without any actual evidence at all.

Um...Acknowledged by who? Where? I guess we will have to just take their word for it since they don't want to tell us where they got their info from.

Here is the real story if anyone is interested.

I don't know anything about the Talmudists.

What I do know is that the US has warped into a form of Oligopoly fused with Bureaucracy. This multi headed monster is what controls foreign policy and foreign policy decisions are made almost strictly for economic reasons. What ever the monster thinks will benefit the oligopolies the most and the American people be damned and relegated into indentured servitude.

Intelligence Brief: Russia’s Electronic Warfare Capability In The Ukraine

    http://www.openbriefing.org/regionaldesks/europe/russias-electronic-warfare-capability-in-ukraine/
Russia has been making good use of its brigade-level EW assets in Ukraine, particularly with the
barrage (noise) jamming of tactical radio nets, cell phone emitters and satellite downlink targets.
This capability was most recently demonstrated by the electronic warfare company of 18 Guards
Motor Rifle Brigade during its deployment in Ukraine (both Crimea and eastern Ukraine). With its
own jammers (R-330ZH ‘Zhitel’), it was able to effectively nullify the Ukrainian communications
and GPS signals in the regions it was deployed to.

BUMP to the top: Khibiny, The Russian Game Changer
Russia’s New Microwave Cannon Can Knock Out Electronics Of Aircraft, Drones

Remember the Iranians hacking the most sophisticated US Drone available & landing it?
    & then Dumb Ass

    http://greencrowasthecrowflies.blogspot.ca/2015/06/bump-to-top-khibiny-russian-game-changer.html

The weapon creates a 360-degree air exclusion zone of about 10 kilometers around itself and
will knock out the precision electronics of any aircraft, drones, and guided missiles in its radius.

“This mobile microwave irradiation complex performs off-frequency rejection of electronics
aboard low-altitude aerial targets and warheads of high precision weapons,” the TASS news
agency quoted a Rostec Corporation representative as saying on Monday.

The cannon’s design permits it to be mounted on the chassis of the Buk anti-aircraft missile
    system, the source noted.

“In terms of performance capabilities, the complex has no competitors in the world… When
installed on a special platform, an SHF ‘cannon’ provides all-around defense,” he added.

The cannon’s specifications are yet to be disclosed, but according to the source it is also
“planned to be used to test the national radio-electronic systems of military equipment for
    resistance to high-power microwave radiation."

I take an INSULT from such as you as a compliment :

    funny
Tell that to Libyan's or Syrians' who once had a prosperous Nation -
& now have a failed state run by gangs of extremist THUGS & US sponsored Pigs

Tell it to such victims as of Mi-Lia - Fallujah etc to all the Innocent Civilians murdered
in places such as Iraq - by US Airstrikes on crowded Urban targets

Tell it to the uncountable CIA victims of overt naked Torture
Tell it to the victims of US drone attacks on peasant communities - double striking Weddings, & Funerals

Tell it to 1/4 to 1/2 a million Iraqi children who died as a matter of US policy - A price you were willing to pay :steamed:

Tell it to the innumerable Victims of Death Squads who were Tortured to Death or had their Heads Cut
off in Central America by the Brutal Psychopaths trained at The US School Of The Americas

etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.
The list could go on & on & on & ON

I think your illiteracy is funny, Eadora. WTF are

large, purple, urban communities of creative individuals?

As for your xenophobic rants, they are consistent with those of the faux-humanitarian proponents of fascism, Stalinism, jihadism and anti-Semitism who infest hate sites like Pravda Forums. As Christopher Hitchens correctly pointed out, these people are not "antiwar", they are "are straight-out pro-war, but on the other side", which is why they are always quick to side with the likes of Muammar Gaddafi, Bashar al-Assad, Ho Chi Minh, Osama bin Laden, Saddam Hussein, Mullah Omar, Pol Pot, Abimael Guzmán, Vladimir Putin, on and on and on... :blownose:

So the best Talon can do, is to try INSULT & Personal Attack, using an Obvious Typo
& that's the best he can do - as if that's going to get me excited - :roflol: - ! - like I said before
................................................................................... - From such as you an INSULT is a compliment

he laughs hysterically at Typo's & the Atrocities I have listed, with the Blood smeared mouth of a Maniac
A cultural Icon, a Psychopath that he has chosen to represent himself (a most appropriate & revealing Avatar)

He can't answer to or deny even one of my contentions - & has to rely on a Cheap Shot Ad Hominem .

With a slopped head & a totally Irrational bend - he claims that anybody who dares to protest any such
Atrocities as I have enumerated here, must be a faux humanitarian, a Xenophobe, a Fascist,
It is me in my Outrage against Atrocity that makes me an Anti-Semite, a Jihadist, a Stalinist -

Seemingly totally unaware of how utterly STUPID the charge is and how it EXPOSES his own disgusting
    .......................................................................................................... & extremely Gross Nakedness

    ...................................................................................
Well SIR - with a long stick I remove you & your Crap from the sidewalk. & I throw it back in your Face
    Thanx for the Win
