'On Wednesday, we reported on a North Carolina bill that seeks to create a roster of firearms approved for sale in the state. The roster is based on one already in place in California that has severely limited the number of guns available to law-abiding citizens. It does not, however, stop criminals from doing whatever they can to obtain other firearms. However, the representative who is pushing for this plan and the media seem to be trying to push this through as a safety measure, one meant to keep North Carolinians safe from faulty weapons.' this is why I don't discuss it..THEY LIE ALL THE TIME source: https://bearingarms.com/tom-k/2018/06/07/nc-gun-roster-sold-preventing-faulty-weapons/ via @BearingArmsCom
Are Glock Gen 4 and 5 handguns really more faulty that earlier, CA approved models? Are the new CZ handguns "faulty"? No, it's just control, not safety. We shouldn't let people who know bupkis about firearms decide what firearms are to be allowed.
It is not the proper role of a government to protect the public from itself like a parent would a child.
I was told that firearms must be submitted for testing and approval by the manufacturer ( California ) and a huge fee paid, otherwise, the firearm is not approved for sale, and some firearms manufacturers are not bothering to comply, hence their firearms will not be sold in California. Given that most Industry standard firearms are safe, it is more of an economically based ban.
More accurately it is nothing more than basic extortion. Perhaps something that can be remedied by criminal charges being leveled against the state.
too many people from liberal states have migrated because of the Raleigh Durham triangle and want to recreate where they came from
A discriminatory one that discourages those will little financial means, many of the most vulnerable, from acquiring the means for self defense. Few manufacturers would keep an unsafe gun design on the market for liability reasons, fewer yet in litigation crazy states like CA.
