One does have to read the sunnah to find out what the religion is about.

 

One does not need to read the Sunnah to understand that an ideology that justifies forcing personal religious beliefs on others through physical violence (Law) is Evil.

I don't need to know the particulars of what some religion is about to know that forcing Religious or Personal beliefs on others (sans legitimate justification) through physical violence is evil and immoral.

 

You don't "Need to know" anything.
If you want to learn about Islam, there are certain books you need to read.

You may know this - as I have been hammering this into your head for many weeks - but people in general do not. Most do not realize that making law = forcing beliefs on others through physical violence until you explain it to them. Even when explained some will try and deny it. Had this happen many times on this forum.

Average Joe - when voting in a referendum - votes on the basis of what the agree with/disagree with - and often this agreement/disagreement is on the basis of religious belief.

Many do not realize that the question of a referendum on Alcohol- is NOT " Do you like alcohol" - yet they vote as if it was.

 

I know this because I have been studying Islam for 15 years now.
