Yes, Hollywood and most of the entartaiment industry(like triple A games) are a propaganda arm of the US state, nothing new.
Such games must have a significant influence on the views and attitudes of youngsters. What an excellent propaganda tool!
Yes it can be tailored to achieve and condone all sorts of bad behavior. Some say that such games encourage malignant behavior to society, when given to certain personality types. Those humans prone to violence can be thus encouraged by such games.
That's too far. Studies show the opposite. But what this does do is influence perceptions of US foreign policy.
I think it depends upon the personality type, as to the ultimate effect of playing violent video games. For most people, it is just a game. But for the person prone to violence it can be some sort of gratification. And in forming young minds that could play a big role. According to Dave Grossman, former LTC USA, some FBI studies of school shooters shows that the video games can be a big part of their lives. Determining personality traits by way of psychological interviews is a critical part.
Here is something on that: https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...ween-school-massacres-and-violent-video-games
Nothing at all personal here. What you do with your life is none of my business. I admire your worldview. Human personalities are obviously different. Some folks are kind and gentle, some are not, and some others are violent and pathological. I did not create that situation, but I and others know that to be true. So the point is that depending upon one's age and one's psychological make-up, video games can have different effects on different individuals. And thus the content and make-up of various video games can be designed by devious people to have different effects on different personalities. I used to train dogs, and training humans can be quite similar to training dogs. Certain behavior can be encouraged.
