Hello, all. I've gotten fed up with my attempts at serious conversations being blocked on another site, so I went looking for a place where I could express my opinions freely. I hope this is it. I see a few other conservatives have made their home here, so I'm mildly optimistic. I still haven't received a confirmation e-mail, so I don't know if this will go through or not.
Welcome! You can say almost anything here, but read the rules to be sure of your ground. It is always better to avoid personal attacks - even when provoked. Pick some active threads and start posting your thoughts. Good luck
I wonder if it's the same site I was chucked off. It has a very similar name to this one, and one of the rules was 'No one-liners', even though that one-liner might contain more wisdom than an entire thesis. Some of the posts were so long and so er, circumlocutionary (apols to Charles Dickens!) that I refuse to believe that anyone could read through them beginning to end without losing the will to live. I reckon their site logo should be 'Do not use 20 words when 1000 will do.' You'll like it here, and I bid you welcome.
Welcome. I had the same experience at a political forum of a cycling web site. The moderation of that site gradually evolved into creating a liberal thinking echo chamber. I haven't experienced any of that here. Read and follow the rules and have fun.
This is a one-off. When I see a few more current donors I'll be making another donation myself: I'd be a bit miffed if I did make another one only for the site to close the following day owing to lack of member support.
I still haven't received a confirmation e-mail, so I don't know if this will go through or not. Yeah, it went through... ... welcome to the board.
Hello my man, and welcome. Pretty good crowd here except for one nutty monarchist. I can't say we are very respectful here of fundamentally opposing viewpoints, but conservatives seem to out number liberals by 2 to 1. Enjoy ...
Hi all. I am new to this forum but not new to political discussions and debate. People consider me liberal but I am issue oriented. For the most part. Based on issues that I am interested in and passionate about, I am aligned with the Dem party. I always start with logic and documentation and then consider fairness, decency, and what is good for our nation when engaged in politics. What is good for a particular party is the least of my concerns. More often than not, I am interested in narrow issues rather than overall flowery positions on politics. I am here to learn from others and also make contributions of my own.
