Brandon Cooks is a monster deep threat. Jules is a monster slot player. Cooks has the potential to play like Moss. Cooks will now be hybrid playing in both the slot and outside. When I went to watch them practice he was lined up outside with Jules in the slot

I was merely disagreeing with your assessment that Cooks is the 'best' talent at WR the Patriots have had in some time........clearly that would be Edelman......wherever they lined up on the field

    1. It wasn't my assessment to begin with
    2. You can't even say that with a straight face because Cooks hasn't played a snap of real football yet with the Patriots. Preseason and practice isn't strategized like the regular season.
    3. Cooks might be one of the best receivers in the NFL at the end of this season. Edelman is the most RELIABLE, but unfortunately, there's many more talented receivers.
    4. Would you draft Edelman over Cooks in FFB? That's a close one...

I would have easily drafted Edelman over Cooks in my FF league if he was healthy.

If it's a PPR league that may be a good idea since he gets a lot of short passes and catches, if it's standard league no way. Remember, Cooks was 10th in scoring for WRs last year and Edelman was 15th. Numbers speak for themselves.

I play in a PPR league. Cooks won't get as many targets in NE as he did in NO. Brady likes to spread the love around

That's true Edelman is great in PPR. But Cooks is the deep threat that will have many 100+ yard games and deep zone TDs and will still probably do better than Edelman in PPR. Google "2016 wide receiver stats for PPR" and ESPN, Yahoo, and CBS. Cooks seems to be the overall advantage.

Cooks can be the new Moss and if he is, he'll be number one overall- higher than brown (if he lives up to it)

He does have that 'room brightening smile' and 'unlimited upside potential'........kinda like Dez Bryant who had 450 yards receiving last year...........

He had 800 and missed three games.

And peak Dez Bryant was a top 5 WR in the game. I'd gladly take that from Cooks.

Why this is the most incredibly ignorant post ever:
    1. Dez Bryant had 800 yards, not 450. Not sure why you decided to make that crap up
    2. Rookie QB vs. Tom Brady. Answer me this, how did Dez do when veteran Romo threw to him? Want me to cite?
    3. Dak Prescott's offense and offensive line is RUN-FIRST. The whole strategy is give the ball to Zeke. Dez was used as a blocker more

Holy **** man this was wrong on so many levels

What did Dez have the year before.......400 yards receiving? Heck, last year he wasn't even the leading receiver on the Cowboys.......that award went to undrafted Cole Beasley.........

Dez Bryant was hurt in 2015, and catching balls from Matt Cassel when he wasn't.

Beasley played all 16 games, and acts as a security blanket underneath while defenses commit two DB's to prevent Dez Bryant from shredding them deep.

You claimed Dez Bryant had 450 receiving yards last year. Which is completely a lie. You also aren't smart enough to know that Dak wasn't allowed to throw the deep ball, because you're inexperienced in football conversations. You're also the same person who would take Edelman over the deep threat Cooks who leads Edelman in points.

    What can we conclude here?

    You should stick to soccer.

He's not racist. He just doesn't understand football. Must be a soccer guy.

Edelman (who I think is awesome) is a WR15 and Cooks is a WR10. He's trying to claim Edelman is better.

Dude, you are the one claiming Cooks is the most talented WR the Patriots have had in some time........when Edelman has lead them to two SB wins.......and Cooks hasn't even caught a regular season pass for the team. Jules will be in the Patriot Hall of Fame.........no idea about Cooks. And Dak not being 'allowed' to throw the 'deep ball'......too funny.

Cite where I said that, sounds like you're referring to what the other poster says...which makes sense given your track record of bullshit you've been spewing, like Dez's last year stats you made up.
I said he's ranked higher in the NFL for receiving than Edelman, which is just a fact. Edelman was 15 last year and Cooks was 10th. That means, Cooks got more fantasy points and had a better season.

I bet you think Wes Welker (who Edelman replaced) was better than Randy Moss, the deep threat! LOL

Welker did open up a good many deep throws to Moss by drawing double teams on third down.......they were both great receivers for Brady......1A and 1B.......as good as Edelman is, he's no Wes Welker. The Brady, Welker, Moss trio in 2007 was probably the best ever.

You can't win them all! Anyways, they will get better as the season progresses. There are always a few bugs to be worked out. ;)
