Chris Christie was in office from 2010-2018. He was a republican, but the democrats won in 2018 with their new candidate, Phil Murphy. As new Jersey Governor, Phil Murphy has pursued standard left-wing policies galore. It is my personal opinion that the sexual assault allegations and hiring scandals are FAR WORSE than BridgeGate. What's with New Jersey having such terrible governors?
You obviously do not know what type of place New Jersey is. If you knew what it was like, if you had lived there for several years, it would come as very little surprise that they vote in the governors that they do. There was one conservative member who grew up in New Jersey and later in his life got out of their. He described it as a hell hole, a cesspool, the armpit of the nation, like a less glamorous and more dingy version of New York City, but spread out into an entire state. The place is overcrowded, unaffordable cost of living, not enough space, a lot of the people are crooks. Their government has no problem passing an endless series of laws severely criminalizing all sorts of things that are not illegal in other states.
