The Bill Maher Real Time Forums on HBO. HBO are closing the forums as of today. Perhaps some will find their way here.
Looks like a lot of content sites are removing comment sections and forums. I believe it has to do with their intent on focusing only on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, snapchat, instagram, etc. It appears to be a cost saving effort and an effort to drive consumption of those branded sites for HBO. It's a shame. The forum there had been around since the early 2000s.
It appears that they simply don't want to host a forum. They have migrated to non hosted services like Facebook and Twitter instead of hosting their own sites. I suppose it's about money more than anything. - - - Updated - - - Life is a journey. This place is much broader. And a lot more folks willing to engage instead of simply insult, or try to get you banned or censored.
Thanks - it's just that from past experience, when the forums of which I was a member were unexpectedly closed, I've wondered if they were getting too er, what's the word? controversial and the owners had been leaned on from above to silence the often negative comments. Call me a conspiracy theorist!!
