    How people are employed by a local government and the jobs they are assigned to isn't an opinion either.

    Of course. Democrats in those positions are the ones who allowed the murder rate that high.

    What has that to do with some gimp in the city's civil engineering department who appoints a contractor to remove 1 object?

    Some civil engineering gimp would be still employed by that local government no matter what.
    How much time would you think it would take him to appoint a contractor to remove 1 object?
    I'm guessing less than 1 day. And his contribution to any murder statistics would be nil.
    So...

    Seems perfectly plausible a local government can do 2 things.

    If you think it takes one day to get anything done in government you're deluding yourself.

    Wonder why they aren't that time-sensitive with shutting down the gang violence there?

    They are doing two things: removing statues, and increasing the level of violence in the city.

    Um, yeah. I do think it takes 8 hours or less to write a contract to remove 1 object.
    It's probably less than 1 page, excluding the general terms of the local government that you can just staple with it.
