An ABC News/Ipsos poll released Friday, 47 percent of Americans approve of Trump’s coronavirus response, while 52 percent of Americans disapprove — a steep drop from the same poll taken just two weeks ago when a whopping 55 percent approved of Trump’s response.
And in Trump’s favorite survey, the Trump-skewing Rasmussen daily tracking poll, his approval rating has dropped four points in a matter of days. The last time Trump was above water in that poll was Feb. 27, when his approval was at 52 percent. But he began this week with a -5 point net unfavorability, and finishes it nine points underwater with 44 percent approving and 53 percent disapproving.

    Wow.
    Startling numbers.

Even The Trump Favoring Rasmussen Poll has Trump at 44%.
I wonder if Trump will EVER get above 50% Approval again.

Does anyone think that Trump will ever break over 50% Approval in Rasmussen again?
    Thoughts?

Give it two more weeks. In about a week, on the current trajectory we will be approaching 2 million infections in the US. It is just starting to get bad.

This is going to get really really ugly.

I don't understand this virus. They're still saying it's not airborne. But are we really going to believe that 2 million Americans either flew to Wuhan/China in general, and/or Europe and/or knew people who traveled to those areas. And/or those people touched areas, and then they also touched said areas?(That last one, is actually a lot easier to believe.)

Not sure where you heard that it's not airborne. Everything I've seen says it is airborne. That's the main reason for the social distancing of 6ft guideline. If it wasn't airborne then you could stand right next to a person and not get it unless you touched them or they sneezed directly into your face/body.

Yes, the last scenario is the most common.

Someone touching some things or people. Then someone else touches the same area, and with or without being infected, those people will touch other areas.

The last estimate was a single person infects (not just touch and get the virus on another, 2.5 times it was infected!).

Its a friendly virus, apparently, and about half of the infected show no symptoms ever.

I think the strict interpretation of "airborn" means drifting more than just being in spittle or other heavier than air carrier.

Not Trump’s fault. It’s up to the American people to do what’s smart.

The criminal IMPOTUS's prior high ratings were BEFORE the MASS LAYOFFS started taking effect.

Now with MILLIONS losing their jobs the BUBBLE that he was responsible for the economy has BURST and now hardworking Americans are facing a BLEAK and UNCERTAIN future with ZERO LEADERSHIP.

This is called a REALITY CHECK and like so many times before this is just of the many checks that the criminal IMPOTUS has BOUNCED because he is a scum sucking SHYSTER who makes big promises that he can NEVER DELIVER on!

The economy is headed into a Recession and the Bears have taken control of the stock market.

He has nowhere left to hide.

My question is the unapproval low because it's actually lowered, or because there are enough surveys out there to make it low? Like infinite number of polls could lead to results you like. I'm also concerned about the confidence intervals. But that's it for now. Let's see if this is a trend.

Sorry, it's up to the leader of a country to get all his citizens on the same page and behaving with the same smartness. If you have 50 people and you want them to march 'in step', you're going to need a leader.

Oops, You screwed up. There was another thread about this when you created this thread. We all know how anal you can be when other people might make a little bit of a mistake and do this so I figured I would help you out by bringing your screw up to light. You started your thread at 22:49 PM yesterday. Here is the other thread which was started at 09:22 AM (eastern time) yesterday. You started your thread more than 12 hours after the first thread. Here's the other thread that was posted before yours.

    Lolwut? :roflol:

    Sorry, Log.

You DROPPED the Ball on that one.

The thread that you linked to discussed ONLY the ABC Poll.

This thread was DIFFERENT, because it ALSO included the Rasmussen Poll (a poll that it is, in most cases, unusually biased toward the President).

And, as is obvious, the inclusion of Rasmussen Poll differentiates this thread (from the previous one that you cited)

Thus, this ISN'T a "Duplicate" Thread, and you have made a Glaring Mistake.

    It's All Good. No biggie. You're Welcome.:salute:

    And, back on topic:

Trump's Cratering in the Rasmussen Poll (which wasn't even mentioned in the other thread) is the most shocking.

    44% in Rasmussen? Wow. :smh:

Got to wonder if that is a one time aberration or if someone just forgot to apply the "filter" that TILTS the Rasmussen poll ALWAYS in the favor of the criminal IMPOTUS?

Seriously, DT. And, all kidding aside.

Did you ever notice how anytime that Trump even (barely) gets above 50% in the Rasmussen Poll (even though the Rasmussen Poll is well-known as an incredibly-skewed (Pro-Trump) outlier) that PF immediately sees 5 threads about it?

Now, that Trump has 44%, there is nary a peep, and I have to take it upon myself to start the thread.

    I wonder why that is?

Anyway, I am glad to see that Rasmussen's Polling is starting to mirror reality.

If that Rasmussen poll WAS skewed then the REALITY is that the criminal IMPOTUS is now around 40%.

    Exactly.

If Trump is at 44% in Rasmussen, the reality is more like 39%.

Who is saying it is not airborne?

It is spread by droplet and contact

    True

There is a difference between airborne and droplet but usually that difference is only really useful in a hospital situation. Mainly it is spread by droplets from sneezing and coughing but if you up someone on high flow oxygen THEN it becomes airborne

    Here's RCP averages on CoronaVirus.

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/e..._trumps_handling_of_the_coronavirus-7088.html

and Trump's overall job approval numbers.

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_trump_job_approval-6179.html

The trend is down. The thing is Republicans and Democrats have never changed their view of Trump during all of this. It was independents that did, the non-affiliated and less to non-partisan group. At the beginning of Trump's press conferences on the CoronaVirus, he shot up to 49/42 approval/disapproval average among independents bringing numbers up a few points. The first few pressers, Trump was actually acting presidential. Then he reverted to his normal self with his name calling and needless feud creations and his numbers among independents are dropping. They're down to 47/44 average on the CoronaVirus respons and falling. Strange on when Trump acts presidential or behaves presidential, independent job on board. when he reverted to his extremely unpresidential behavior, independents are leaving him.

It's only bound to get worse for Trump. Independents expect a president to at least act presidential, not like some thin skinned, egotists wrestler out of the WWE.
