Having watched Fox News (reluctantly) at least once a week for over 4 years. . . I could have told you that!

But this is actually a scientific study ran by a CONSERVATIVE establishment!

And we wonder why a country that selects such a station as their most SUCCESSFUL source of news is in trouble!
I guess, adults believing that "an elementary school level" news outlet is the best way to understand America and the political, social and economic problems we face is not optimal for taking this country to a better place!

And if it did exist, it was probably a group of liberals with an IQ 30 points below the national average attempting to perform the study. Did anyone call the number at the bottom? Who is P Nichols? Doesn't the average American view this as a strike upon Yahoo News more than Fox News? Are all USA citizens Manchurian candidates incapable of higher thought beyond what the "media" tells them?

Looks like someone has been hoaxed! The origin of this is "PRWeb" which is a marketing firm. You can have press releases sent from there.

    This is a demographic thing.

Most Fox News viewers are Conservative Republicans. The Republicans largely control the South. The South has lower IQ averages.

Besides, dumb people being drawn to your ideology doesn't mean it's a bad ideology, and there are other mechanisms at play here (ie: intelligent people think they can change the world and thus are to the left, etc).

Why would Yahoo news and Daily Kos post this fake story?

You didn't think it was a spoof when you started this thread!

I've no doubt you totally thought a 20 point IQ difference was plausible. I've no doubt that's why Kos posted it. How could it not be true? It feeds into their prejudices!

Now, why do you want this thread locked?

UPDATED: Fox Deceptively Crops 2008 Obama Speech To Falsely Suggest Assault Weapons Hypocrisy

    http://mediamatters.org/blog/2013/01/07/fox-deceptively-crops-2008-obama-speech-to-fals/192067

Fox News deceptively cropped video of a 2008 campaign speech to falsely suggest that President Obama is acting hypocritically in reportedly supporting an assault weapons ban.

During the January 7 edition of America's Newsroom, anchor Bill Hemmer claimed that a report that the White House is considering a comprehensive gun violence prevention package, which includes reinstituting the assault weapons ban, "comes in stark contrast to President Obama's position back in 2008, when candidate Obama promised that he would protect the rights of all gun owners." After airing a clip of Obama telling a campaign audience that he believes in the Second Amendment and won't confiscate firearms, Hemmer said that those were comments Obama made when he "was trying to get elected"

Remember, conservatives have this thing called common sense that liberals do not have, so we are way ahead!
    I also doubt their study!
